GU Gonzaga Bulldogs Zags Private Catholic Welcoming Spirited Active Close-Knit Transformative Service-Oriented

With a history dating back to 1881, Gonzaga University first opened its doors in 1887. Gonzaga is now a private four-year institution of higher learning offering a multitude of undergraduate and graduate programs dedicated to the Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic ideals of educating the mind, body, and spirit. Students at GU discover how to integrate science and art, faith and reason, and action and contemplation.

The GU campus is spread over 131 acres overlooking the Spokane River. A variety of houses, condos, and apartments are available for rent within close proximity to campus. Housing options in the Logan, East Central, and Riverside neighborhoods tend to be the most convenient.

Gonzaga maintains an active campus atmosphere with over 100 student clubs and organizations, NCAA Division I athletic games, and intramurals and club sports. A host of nearby natural and cultural amenities offers plenty to do in the surrounding Spokane area. Seattle is about a four-hour drive from campus and Portland is about a five-hour drive away.
