Middle Tennessee State University, opened in 1911, is top-ranking and fast-growing. The university contains a wide variety of nationally recognized academic degree programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. It is renowned for its programs in Music, the Recording Industry, and Aerospace. MTSU has partnered with the Army, Marine Corps,and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The Blue Raiders athletic teams are a big part of True Blue pride, competing in the NCAA Division I Conference USA.
