Right in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, Cleveland State University sprawls over 85 acres and includes more than 40 buildings scattered along downtown's busy streets. Wide sidewalks, bike lanes, and mass transit make getting around easy. The Cleveland State Vikings used to be represented by the comic strip character Hagar the Horrible, but he was replaced in 1998. The Vikings participate in NCAA Division I as part of the Horizon League, and the basketball team plays at Wolstein Center.
