Founded in 1907, the University of Hawaii at Manoa is one of just a few universities in the nation to be distinguished as a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution. The flagship university of the UH system, UH Manoa is known for pioneering research in a breadth of fields, including linguistics, genetics, oceanography, and Pacific Islands and Asian Studies.
