It is a very friendly and calm neighborhood. It has baseball leagues that I used to participate in when I was younger and the competition with the other neighborhoods are just so much fun to be around. This neighborhood throws parades that everyone attends whether it is St Patrick's Day or Memorial day.

Overall a very good neighborhood to be in. Norwood Park is safe to live in and has good schools for children to attend.

Safe neighborhood and helpful people. I've lived here most of my life and I think this is a perfect neighborhood to grow up in.

Norwood Park is singlehandedly the best place to grow up. With the vibes of the suburbs, but a location 15 minutes from the city (with no traffic) there is a great sense of family in the neighborhood. Furthermore, there are always things to do and fun to be had (especially in the woods if you're a teen), and great schools. Also, since every other person on your block is a firefighter, cop, or city worker, it is a very safe place to live and there are no feelings of superiority.
