Winkler Avenue and Metro Parkway form the major roadways, intersecting in the heart of the neighborhood. With Fort Myers Beach less than 15 miles southwest, Metro Park is terrific for those who enjoy beachcombing, swimming, surfing, fishing, and boating. The very popular Sanibel Island is just 20 miles away. This island, along with neighboring Captiva, are famous for shelling.
