I love the strong sense of community, local shops, and cultural vibe. The park is a nice spot to relax. More safety at night would be nice, cleaner streets, and better park upkeep.

I think overall, Gage Park is a great community. When the neighborhood needs to come together for certain events, majority of people end up participating. I think some more streetlights or perhaps safety is needed though, usually you can't stay out late because it gets really dangerous. I would like to see it be a little safer.

Lived here my whole life. I fear just walking out of my house to check the mail. The crime and violence in this neighborhood is behind disbelief. Too many times have walked only a block and already was being catcalled and pursued by creeps.

Gage Park has increased its violence but not completely. I used to be scared to be out later at night because of violence. Gage Park has a mix of Hispanics/Latinos and African Americans.
