I have lived in East Arlington intermittently for the last 15 years. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores. It is truly not my ideal place to live, but it is definitely a reasonable place to live that is only 15-20 minutes away from everything you need including the beach. Crime is average and there are many neighborhoods nearby. Many public schools are also reasonably close and great.

When you say East Arlington, nobody ever really know what you're talking about. It's Girvin!! Tons of restaurants, shopping, and relaxation in this area. Just far enough from the city and beach to avoid the peak traffic times, just close enough to them that nothing's ever too far away. Could really do with some nearby nightlife. It's essentially a dead zone besides fast food when it gets late enough.
