Riverfront Park, the site of the 1974 World's Fair, holds more attractions, including the INB Performing Arts Center, the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club, and a carousel that's more than 100 years old. Also in the park, you can find the Spokane Shock Arena, which regularly hosts arena football, concerts, and figure skating.
Downtown Spokane makes it easy for residents to walk to work or stroll the streets to shop, dine, or grab a beer. The Flour Mill, a renovated, 100-year-old mill, houses eclectic specialty shops and fine dining options while restaurants such as Mizuna and Anthony's at Spokane Falls let diners enjoy a view of the river as they eat. Downtown Spokane is home to Washington State University Spokane, and just across the river to the northeast is Gonzaga University.

Leimert Park is where I was born and raised. I've feel comfortable in the area and naturally, at home. I walk my dogs in the neighborhood and enjoy the quaint modest homes on my street. There has been quite a bit of construction in the surrounding area and renovations which I'm looking forward to seeing to completion in the near future.
