Creston is experiencing a growth. There are many diverse restaurants and shops and lots of young families moving in.

A great city to raise a family, and to return to later in life. Housing cost in the urban fringe is fairly average, but downtown prices range a little high compared to average income. The school system is improving but is far from perfect, but there are good non-public options available. Plenty of green space and close enough to Lake Michigan for a proper day trip.

Not a lot of large companies with good paying jobs for the average person available. In the area, it seems like a lot of people are employed in retail, restaurant and service jobs, probably under $12 an hour. Area does not seem to be growing, but companies seem to be doing steady business to keep open.
