I personally have never had any huge issues with crime in Boise, but when little situations did arise, the police were always very alert and responsive

The outdoor recreational activities around Boise are fantastic. There are hiking and biking locations minutes from downtown and the foothills are amazing. Just an hour outside of town there is hiking, rafting, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding and so many more activities.

I don't have much experience with crime in the area but I know it exists. Drug usage is a common offence. Gun violence might also be a problem in some areas.
