I like Carmel Valley. There are a lot of things to do in the area, lots of good schools, and good parks. There are lots of trails to hike on in Carmel Valley. It has a very strong suburban vibe.

Pretty safe neighborhood with great schools around. However, the cost of living is extremely high and there's not a lot of diversity.

My son went to Carmel Del Mar and had the best Elementary school experience possible. Besides the excellent school, there place is designed with families in mind with all the restaurants, shops, library, skate park, walkability, etc. Everyone is so friendly and it's such a safe community.
