It is no longer used as a courthouse; instead, it is the Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum. My name is Jarkayla Walker(under my daughters profile). If I could rate this 0 stars then I absolutely would!!!!! THIS APARTMENT IS INFESTED WITH RATS! I MEAN A WHOLE COLONY OF THEM! When I asked the NEW MANAGER WHO IS ANA R. She only offered to move me to another building(which may be infested as well but you wont know until you move in) I have been here a total of 1month & 2 weeks. Since then I have dealt with numerous of things being wrong with my apartment unit. They gave me half a** working appliances.

Extremely loud music that has windows shaking/vibrating that start around 5:30pm and continue well after dark without letup... Add in the occasional random gunshots during the night only add to why this place should be declared a 'Public Nuisance'... No wonder the Denton Police Department makes frequent visits; but it seems said visits fail to solve the issues...
They sell you a pretty package but this is the biggest dump I have ever lived in. All amenities are broken. All laundry rooms are filthy disgusting. If your lucky there is one machine that works. Wait room has never been working. Pool is gross. Apts are covered with constant roaches, rats and bugs. If something breaks in your apartment don't worry it only takes them 3 months to fix it incorrectly. I thought I could deal with this but it is worse than I imagined and now I'm stuck in a year long lease. Do not move here it seems cheap but then they over charge you on all utilities and garbage so you might as well pay the couple hundred dollars more a month to go somewhere more nice. THE ABSOLUTE WORST APARTMENTS I’VE EVER lived in. Do not move to building 2. I don’t know how the other buildings hot water is. We’ve been here since November and have already been through 3 different staff members & management. They turn the hot water off every week for “emergencies” (they let us know maybe 3 times out of the whole time we’ve been here) & it’s clear they aren’t fixing it. Every time I call about the hot water they get a attitude and tell me it will be back on later and it will be off for about 3 days then do the same thing all over again the next week. It took them 5 months to fix our facet handle in our bathroom. These apartments might be cheap but they aren’t worth it.
My fiance and I moved here right after the beginning of quarentine, we were in a tight spot and we needed to find a place quick, they offered a move in deal for cheap which seemed great at the time, but in retrospective shouldve been a red flag. The parking policies are garbage, if you work nights good luck finding a spot, the neighborhood is ghetto as hell, and ive lived in trailer parks with better quality. The place was built in the 70's and nothings been renovated since. Weve had a rat issue for 2 months that we've tried getting them to come fix, they've sent maintenance out and each time the worker has seen evidence and actual rats, only to respond with "we'll tale care of that" and after having to complain again they're set to send a pest control crew Friday, (ill update weather or not they actually send somone) and all around its been torn up laminate wood flooring, cracks and holes in the wall that were fixed with plaster and no door stoppers so as soon as you open the doors the plaster cracks into a hole. If its your first apartment, or you're in a tight spot, hold out hope. You'll find something better
Horrible! Do not live here! My Daughter didn't have AC all summer. The disgusting water leak dripped into the cooler in the hallway. The Apartment was broken into, so they boarded up the patio door for months. The office manager was threatening to my daughter. She got in my daughter's face and screamed at her when my daughter told her she wasn't going to pay rent if the AC wasn't fixed. Also you will not have control over your heat. They decide when to turn it on. If you have small children they will be cold. The pictures are nothing like the apartments! My daughter got out of there as soon as her lease was up. She put in maintenance request and followed up continuously, but it was not their priority. Her pupoy had to stay with me becase the heat was unbearable. Your manager should be fired for her aggressive behavior towards the tenants. she had no AC all last summer! And dont reply saying you can't find her name in the system!
The only reason I'm not giving these apartments 5 stars was because of the horrible attitude from the manager Arnita. Me, my roommate and my mother all went to look at the apartments and fill out an application. We asked about a move in date and supposedly the apartment we were applying for was the unit that Arnita was living in, so when we asked she literally told us, and I quote, "well I'm being forced out of my apartment and I'm not in a hurry for anyone. I'm kind of lazy and spoiled and I don't want to move anything". We all felt extremely uncomfortable and awkward after that. We toured the place and its beautiful I love it here. A few days go by and we hear nothing back about our application so I call back and Arnita answered and told us we had been approved. So I ask her again "what day can we set for a move in date?" And AGAIN she tells me "well like I said I'm being forced out of my apartment so I'm not sure when" so I told her just put us down for the first and call me back if that works. Few more days go by still no answer about a move in day. My mother actually ended up calling them and a lady named Julie answered the phone and I love Julie! She originally showed me the unit and I had hoped she would have been the one getting credit for our applications. We finally got a date settled for the 5th. Literally that's all it took. The apartments are great but Arnita is incredibly selfish, rude, and just plain UNPROFESSIONAL! I think she's being transferred to work in another apartment complex so hopefully no more applicants for 19twenty will have to deal with her. But lord help those at the new building.
I would highly recommend this property. When i was looking for an apt the would accept pmt from Rental Assistance. The manager , who is the best, said of course. And pricessed me right away and was so knowledgeable. Unfirt my apartment was broken into and she offered to transfer and did it do swiftly. She knows her business and is very accommodating.
The new property management team of my current small apartment complex (not 19 Twenty) recently took us over and they are HORRIBLE. I had originally planned to sign another renewal but with the new property management, I gave my move out notice ASAP which is what led me to 19 Twenty Apartments. I'm so grateful I happened across 19 Twenty. Everyone in the office, including the manager, has been accommodating and so helpful! I've had to contact the office multiple times and each time they have been professional, understanding and very accommodating. They understand life circumstances and work with you the best they possibly can while still maintaining a business. I think the office staff really sets the tone for any apartment complex. And, of course, the apartments are remodeled so the interiors are VERY nice and well done. It's also a quiet and friendly apartment community. I would highly recommend taking a look at 19 Twenty apartments in Denton!
The only good thing about these apartments is the new looks on the inside of them. The walls are too thin so you literally can hear anything your neighbors are doing or what's going on outside. The management does nothing to help with the noise level. Anyone can come here so there is always limited parking and you're subject to get towed even if you live here. It took three weeks for me to get running hot water when I first moved here. It's definitely not worth the price.
