The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Uptowne Apartments
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have had nothing but bad experiences living here. starting when i moved in and i found multiple things belonging to the old tenants, they didn’t clean out my unit before move in. The trash never gets picked up. The parking situation is horrible and my car got towed even though I live here and pay for parking. the dishwasher doesn’t work, the paint in the tub will chip. packages get stolen by the property maintenance. the hallway always smells like trash. the walls are very thin i can hear my neighbors talking, like their full conversation and i can hear their alarms in the morning.
Property Manager at The Uptowne Apartments, Responded To This Review
We're sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Regarding the parking situation, please note that all residents are required to have a valid parking pass clearly displayed in their vehicle window at all times to avoid being towed. If you believe your car was towed in error, please contact the leasing office so we can look into it further. We also take your other concerns seriously and would like the opportunity to address them directly. Please reach out to our management team at your earliest convenience so we can work toward resolving these issues and improving your experience.
Laundry stolen, packages stolen, management non-existent. They have never answered the phone once. Not once. Took away all the free amenities that DTN had offered before they sold the place and jacked up the price too. My girlfriend lives at one of their sister properties and its much of the same. Office is constantly closed for no reason. Office is also 15 minutes away in Lansing so get used to the drive. Electronic locks stopped working randomly. You could literally get locked out of your place for no reason and then no one will answer the phone. Constant unenforced parking violations so the lot is always full of non residents. Management refused to get a second dumpster so the one is always overflowing and they fine you if you leave your trash outside the dumpster. Just go live at the quarters down the street or something. Avoid any place owned by Hunter Lansing.
Staff and Maintenance are beyond awful, zero communication from staff and NO maintenance, takes days to get someone out to fix anything if they even come at all
My apartment was remodeled last year and I love it. I can walk to campus and the management is great. Highly recommend.
