Located in Hamilton County, Mount Healthy is just 16 miles out from Cincinnati. The town was originally called Mount Pleasant, and was founded in 1817. Its inception, however, began two years prior when settlers John LaBoiteaux and Hamilton Pike built the first-ever building and business on the land: a tavern. As homes were being built - and companies like lighting manufacturers, garment factories, and wagon companies were popping up alongside the original tavern - the town’s population grew substantially.
Today, Mount Healthy has a lot of large green spaces and parks. Numerous restaurants and bars are located here, specifically alongside Hamilton Avenue which runs through the center of town from north to south. Residents enjoy easy access to I-275 and Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
