Property Ratings at Life at Highland Village
My horror story starts at move-in. My furnace was being installed. Yup, they didn't think of doing that until there was something moving in. The guy doing the work left and doing return for several days. I was without heat for my first 2 weeks in the middle of the winter. I had 30 maintenance requests while a tenant. They ranged from the cold water not working to a pipe beneath the sink busting to the garbage disposal not working to no AC in the summer. I was unable to use my shower for the last 3 months of my tenancy due to no cold water. In fact the water would get so hot when I ran a bath that I would have to cut it with water from my kitchen tap. The surface of the tub started peeling as a result. Peeling. I didn't know that was a thing. Two out of the 4 burners on my stove didn't work. Management is non-communicative and unprofessional. Advertised pool wasn't opened the whole year I lived on-site. I could go on and on. There's a reason they don't ask for a deposit too. They plan on nickel and diming you for everything after you turn in your keys. I was provided with a list of possible costs for repairs a week after I moved out. This information was never brought to my attention when I moved in. All in all, Highland Village is predatory and the bottom of the barrel as far as apartments go. Avoid at all costs.

Overall the experience those far has been mid at best. The staff is very friendly and on most things maintenance responded extremely quickly. But a lot of things were not advertised as they were. There is not a working laundry facility. As of writing this review our AC has been out for over a week causing the apartment to be 80 degrees on the inside every day. And there were a lot of things in the apartment that were not move in ready.

Horrible maintenance, horrible management, they never answer the phone, never get stuff done right. I haven’t had a/c in my home since March 1st. Also the window pane keeps falling out. Will not do anything about anything. Horrible experience.

Staff communication is horrible! No one answers the phone no matter time of day. IF you get ahold of anyone you will be giving the run around. Maintenance request don’t get answered in a timely manner. I never see anyone out on the property. The water was off in the building way past business hrs didn’t come on till next day there wasn’t a call, text, letter, email.

We strive to keep an open line of communication, and we regret to hear we missed the mark on this for you. Your feedback is important to us, and we'll consider this as we work to improve the overall resident experience.
This is not a place where you should move to if you expect things to work properly or have people communicate with you when things don't work the way they should since moving in. They also don't charge according to the agreed upon lease and ignore the matter when brought up.

Communication is horrible, maintenance takes 6 weeks to get anything done. If it is completed by then. The staff in the office is rude

The Life at Highland Village is new, so far they have came in trying to clean up all the mess that was left for them, I can say they are off to a really good start, we have received new bathroom camodes and shower heads. Also the dumpster area's are a little better, but that part will be challenging. Walls are very thin, you would be surprised on what you can hear from your neighbors bedroom. This could be very nice community with really good management, location is amazing and the grounds and amenities are amazing as well, also have to enforce tenants to clean up behind their pets, lots of that going on, that will also be very challenging.
