Ghosted by them
Literal rejection justified as "financial reason, don't meet our requirements". But they never met us. They never conducted a credit check. They didn't even bother showing up to the visit they scheduled with us. Ignored us for weeks. If that's what they have to offer to pre-signing potential renters, I doubt they offer anything of any further substance once the contract is signed and their money's assured. I have never in my life seen or experienced such a poor service from any building owners or landlords. They offered us a specific apartment, gave all the lease requirement details, no indication at all that they'd change their minds. Again, think of this behavior applied to a signed lease; understand they force it by lease to take on automatic preauthorized bank transfers (What if I budget on a 14-day basis? What if I'm harmed and hospitalized? Will they pick up the phone to cancel a payment then? .........)
