Nestled between Fairway Hills Golf Course and a large preserve, Wilde Lake is a relatively new community built in the 1960s to serve as a water reservoir. However, it does have a history with some buildings dating back to the 18th century.
Local family businesses occupy Wilde Lake Village Green, such as a neighborhood market, quaint cafes, and retail shops. Outside of their Wilde Lake apartments, local enjoy jogging around the large lake or going to the movies at The Mall in Columbia.
