Property Ratings at Lakes Of Aurora
We lived in Lakes of Aurora for almost 2 years. The suites are spacious and beautiful and that's what attracted us to the apartments. But the suites are really not worth the exorbitant rent. With this high rent I would expect the kitchen and bathroom fixtures to be of decent quality but in my 2 year stay I had to continuously call the maintenance as something would always break down. The heating and cooling in my apartment was terrible. One room would be chilly while the other room would remain hot. Also, the heating and electric bill is too high for the size of the apartment. Another issue is the management is super rude. The rent increases every year, and they have the harshest clauses for ending the lease term. If you want to move out of the apartment before the lease term you have to enter into a moving clause where you have to pay $50 per month. But even after entering into a moving clause you can only move out after providing a 2 month notice which is absolutely ridiculous. The property management is rude and not helpful at all. Beware of all the hidden charges before you move in.
My significant other and I had an appointment to tour the Lakes of Aurora Apartments, we were impressed with the layout and the size of the apartments. Looks well maintained and they offer lots of amenities, we are excited making the Lakes of Aurora our home.
DO NOT rent here! HVAC units are original (30 years) and insulation is terrible so the utilities are very high ($330 /month gas in winter). We could not get our 2nd floor unit un78 degrees on hot day with the AC running continuously, and maintenance won't do anything but "top off" the freon which did nothing. Appliances are junk, had multiple roof leaks, neighbor noise is constant, even coughing can be heard through the walls, let alone music/TV. Do not rent here!!!!!

I lived here for about 3 years on Deerfield lane and the apartments are beautiful and I had nice neighbors but the maintenance never came when called and the rent went up every time we turned around. our light fixture was broke in the kitchen and it didn't get fixed for at least 2 months. I liked how they had a pool and fitness center but it took about 20 minutes to walk there and honestly wasn't worth the effort.
