Positioned around thirty miles west of Chicago, the large village of Carol Stream is a delightful suburb bathed in rich history. Maintenance request Sent a high priority maintenance request through the Resident app at 5:30 am. When I hadn't heard anything all day I called and was told that the maintenance department didn't see my request. Once I talked to someone they came over in about 15 minutes. So I guess it would be 5 for the response and 0 for the app.

quick turn around I submitted the ticket and within 30 minutes maintance was here, fixed the problem and were polite and respectful and did a great job!!

Friendly Maintenance Staff. Joe offered to fix my toilet since he was in the building working in another bathroom. He came back with a part for the other apartment and came right over and fixed my toilet right away. I like his cheerfulness and sense of humor. All the maintenance staff are great.

I will try to streamline my thoughts into pros and cons because I have a lot to say. Pros: -Safe and controlled entry into buildings -Space is nice for similar one bedroom apartments -Dog friendly and nice dog park area -Relatively quiet (can only hear people in halls in they are super loud and if the upstairs neighbors drop something or hit the walls really hard) -price is good/fair for this area -they fixed all the balconies recently, and email often about any maintenance or changes -good storage closet under staircase of building -good location with an AMAZING walking trail right behind the units CONS -major bug issues, ants, spiders, flies. They have exterminated this unit 3 times since we’ve lived here and it NEVER gets better. And I’m talking like at least 3-4 spiders a day, if not more. It’s INSANE. No help. We’ve complained so many times about it. And they offer to spray and then do, and show up late, and it never gets better -our heater lit on fire 2 months into living here (the ones attached to the walls) and they have yet to fix it 10 months later after several emails. -they do not salt or shovel properly making the parking lot a complete hazard in the winter -maintenance will show up for work orders and complete them but don’t rely on the time they give you, if they say 8 am, they mean 2 pm. -things break often and they’re cheaply made and very apparently made to break
The people selling you these apartments don't really care about you. Our apartment has been infested with bugs, and an annoying banging sound since the day we moved in. Even after calling about these issues multiple times, the problems never get solved. Worst decision I've ever made, was choosing Lakehaven
I really like the apartment and how safe it feels being here. I also like having the dog park and the pool very close because of how convenient it is for my family and doggo. Would recommend it!
My family and I moved in here may 1 2015 the staff are very friendly and the maintenance people get the jobs done quickly when there are problems.I'm very pleased.
Lakehaven Apartments are a wonderful place to live. They are very spacious, well maintained and the staff is awesome. I run the path almost daily and always feel safe in the neighborhood. That staff at Lakehaven go out of their way to make “neighborhood” not just an apartment. Great place to live.
The staff is so friendly they are helpful and quick to respond to requests we planned on staying for a year and love ?? it so much we have been there for 8 years
I've lived here happily for 6 years. Whenever I have an issue the staff helps me with it right away. Maintenance is fast and has done a great job with anything I need help with. I have a beautiful pond view, friendly neighbors and wonderful town in general. I love the restaurants, parks (tons);and shopping. Highly suggest ??
Terrible I have lived in plenty of apartments I’ve never had mice it’s disgusting. The whole building is infested and no one does anything... never any parking... random people always parking in the parking lot so never leave spaces for their paying residents!!! Neighbors are so loud can hear people above me next to me always screaming at there children or fighting with their spouse. I would not recommend them as the apartments do not look as pictures. Their carpet is gross and cabinets. Moved in with mold in my dish washer... DISGUSTING PLACE
Maybe this complex was different 2 years ago and that's why the good reviews because our experience was horrible. We loved that we could afford a 2 bedroom in this area. Was told apartment was move in ready and that was a lie. Within the first week of moving there, maintenance was there over 8 times! The dryer motor needed to be replaced, the toilet constantly ran and things needed to be replaced (and that still didn't fix it), door stopper missing so huge debt in wall, heater knob missing, door hinge on fridge missing so door would fly open and hit wall. Most of this was found during our move in checklist that we turned in. I have to wonder if they even inspected it upon move out of last tenant. Everytime maintenance came in it was an inconvenience and stress on my dog. Was told there was plenty of parking...lie. Always had to park far away. If you live in a building with a small lot, it's filled by 430-500 pm. There was always cigarette butts and dog poop outside the building and it never seemed to get cleaned up. My husband had a hard time breathing in the apartment, bought an expensive air purifier and humidifier and still didn't help. Since being out of there, he's had no troubles. Neighbor told us a lot of people don't last long there and she was looking to move as well. The only thing good about this place was they agreed to let us out of our lease, real fast too. Which to me...means something was up
these apartments are nothing but the best!!! They are clean, cozy, and accommodating!! The staff is exceptional
The location is good in carol stream, close to everything there is a bus stop right across Gary. The path behind the apartments is a great place to run or walk your dog. Pool is a little small but most are now because of insurance reasons. I have never had a problem with noise complaints, lots of family's plenty of space for kids to play. the apartments are big and not overly priced, would highly recommend the lake haven apartments
I have lived at Lakehaven two other times before this time with roommates & I always come back because their apartments never give me issues, the staff is very friendly and respond to maintenance requests immediately and have great amenities such as a pool and tennis court! I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!
Great apartment with washer and dryer in each complex. Everything updated and anything that needs to get fixed gets done within a day or two of notifying the office. Nice overlook of a small pond behind the complex. Always kept up with exterior and snow exposure. Pet friendly and has a nice pool and workout facility. Would recomend to anyone.
Great location and great apartments. Everything is modern with granite counter tops. Spacious apartments. Friendly neighbors and lots of parking. Swimming pools and fitness room. Great school districts.
Although it's only been a month, we are feeling that this is where we belong. Boots is loving the place and especially being able to lounge on the veranda. I enjoy mornings on the terrace overlooking the surrounding kingdoms while enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening's flagon of ale. The apartment has more than suited our needs, providing clean, well thought out floor plans and amenities, including storage space at no additional charge, and the staff has been beyond helpful with whatever issues may arise. I would recommend Lakehaven to anyone seeking a great place to live at a very modest price.
