According to Niche.com, St. Joseph Public Schools have the 5th best teachers and the 13th best school district in Michigan. Right at the mouth of St. Joseph River lies the historic Silver Beach Carousel and Museum. Take a spin on one of the hand carved realistic animals and learn about the Silver Beach Amusement Park that was open from 1892 to 1971. The community also enjoys the annual Blossomtime Festival, the oldest festival in the state, which celebrates the agricultural industry.
Locals take advantage of the thrilling coastal views by taking a trip to North Pier Lighthouse at Tiscornia Beach or the Warren Dunes State park where impressive mountains of sand tower 250 feet above the lake. Canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are extremely popular as well.
