Property Ratings at Lake Summit
I really enjoyed my temporary 7 month stay at Lake Summit! The 1 bed 1 bath was perfect for me and my cat. We had a cozy courtyard view and a tree by the window. No noise issues. Kind and welcoming staff & community! Excellent location by my yoga studio, coffee shops, restaurants, & a grocery store. Good security and amazing rooftop with lake view! The beautiful lake front is a quick walk a few streets down. There were some issues with wifi/power outages which was challenging since I worked from home. Had some maintenance issues which were usually fixed within the day. Street parking was challenging in the winter but overall okay. I would recommend to a friend!
This building is just a few blocks away from Bradford Beach and Lake Michigan in a pretty neighborhood, and very close to Whole Foods, a hospital, bars and good restaurants. If you require period details, this isn't the place for you as it is a pretty featureless '60's block. But there is a wonderful rooftop deck with a great view of downtown and the old, lovely homes in the area . It's a good place to watch fireworks or just relax with a book on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Parking is available, but I haven't found street parking difficult around here. And price wise, it's a deal for this neighborhood.
Cons: I live with my gf and it is a little small for two people. That isn't the apartment's fault, since it is for one person. But even with that, all the appliances are smaller than normal. The apartment gets a little hot at times since the A/C unit is only in the main room. Pros: Maintenance is super quick most of the time. The manager is very nice. There is tons of storage space with the two closets. It is located in a good neighborhood and surprisingly not too noisy for being on Prospect by a bunch of bars. For the price, it is a pretty good deal. I think it should be a little cheaper but I can't complain too much.
