The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at La Mesa Pearl
I’ve been without air conditioning for more than 3 months, in the middle of the El Paso heat. I’ve submitted multiple maintenance requests, visited the office, sent emails, and made calls… and all I’ve received are empty promises. The temperature inside my apartment has reached 90°, making it impossible to rest, cook, or even stay inside safely. I had to buy my own portable AC unit, and even that isn’t enough to cool the space properly. Management does not respond in a timely manner, constantly delays repairs, and takes zero responsibility for the unlivable conditions. My electric bill has doubled because of the portable units, and yet, nothing has been done to resolve the issue. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of care and respect for tenants. Until this issue is fixed, my experience remains extremely disappointing. Avoid this place. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
The leasing office has odd hours but you can always leave them a note in the inbox for nonemergency maintenance requests or call the maintenance man for emergency. Issues are always handled quickly or in reasonable time. Complex is very quiet. The rent is very reasonable and amenities are low but all units get basic cable with HBO and washer and dryer units. Everything is electric so you must manage your energy consumption if on a budget. Water is paid by communal building use and lately has been going up. If you want up to date appliances and latest style, go to Montebello. Here it is basic but homey and comfy.
I've been in two, one bedroom apts in here, both being the same layout. I like the fact that there are green areas around the apts and they are taken care of every week. Just hope you don't have a night shift or a day off 'cause they'll wake you up with the blowers. I lived in a first floor apt for over a year and I got to say I didn't get much noise from above, barely any right over the bedroom, however the air conditioning units are another story. The units are right next to the windows of the first floor apts, and they are quite noisy, probably cause they are old (even if working) and if you have a light sleep they might make it hard to sleep, I know that happened to me. Other apartments noise were only noticeable usually during the night with total silence as long as the A/C units are off. When I signed in I got a promotion and the guys have kept that same price for me for some time and I appreciate that. I love the fact that the apt complex includes digital cable free and HBO free which is a big bonus for me (Game of Thrones :O ) my electric bills were always moderate to cheap and there are no gas appliances so you wont spend on that. If I had one other complain would be that is extremely hard to get a hold of the people in the leasing office. The listed hours are very narrow as they are (10-4) which is kinda horrible for anyone with a regular 9-5 job, but to make it worse even at those times you will find a hard time finding anyone, let alone trying to get them to return your calls. Fortunately the maintenance is not directly managed by them. The maintenance guy does read every message you leave at the drop box and will even pick up a call at the middle of the night. Unless is urgent you get whatever you need fix fast it usually takes a few days but I've always had no problem with the fixes. I changed to another one bed room in the second floor and I got to say the floor makes all kinds of noises, is much better than the first floor I had against A/C units noise but every step I take makes a noise, mind you is not intense but its there. Even with those complains I'm happy there, they have grass and trees and a nice (but very small) pool, the price was excellent and so are the bills. The location is great (near to everything you could need) and I'm comfortable
