As soon as I moved in, my roof started to leak. I've been trying to get them to fix for 3 months. They simply ignore my calls and cancel my maintenance request. Avoid this apartment complex at all costs.
Someone was shot and killed right outside of my window. My upstairs neighbors are so loud that I have forgotten what sleep is, and management here is only good for taking your money.

Unfortunately, crime can happen anywhere, and we do everything we can to ensure residents' peace of mind. We always encourage residents to please contact the proper authorities immediately if they have any information about a crime happening in our area. Office staff is rude apartment is old and out of date worse place to live so not move there
The neighbors downstairs smoke marijuana and the smell comes into my apartment through opened holes in the walls like the piping under all the sinks and through some holes in the carpet. The carpet was never cleaned when I moved in and had visible mud stains on the carpet on move in day. They would not give me the keys to look the apartment over before I paid my first month's rent with deposit. I had to call the office and make them clean my carpet again. There are black stains all over the concrete outside my door as well as on the stairs and on my patio. There are silver fish in my closet and there is a serious spider problem. And during the summer there are termites walking all over the walls. The appliances are old and the fridge makes loud noises. Maintenance takes forever to come or never shows up at all. The carpet has burn holes and is very old and hard like a rock. I chose an apartment with a fireplace and when I moved in, the fireplace was sealed shut. There were gun shots heard and police cars. The neighbors often make a lot of noise at night and some play very loud music with vulgar language. The process to pay rent online is a trap and they charge you $16 to use a debit card. The late rent fee is $50, when I have rented somewhere else that was only $10.
Knollwood doesn't suck, but it isn't the best. Neighbors are not friendly and do not abide by no smoking rules. The crime in this complex is scarily high.
Building are not updated , they look like crap. The carpets are dirty , the refrigerator looks like it has bullet holes in it. They don't let you view the apartment until after you sign your paperwork. Worst experience in the world. These apartments need to be closed down.

lived here fro 4 months and the sinks were constantly braking management was awful at communicating issues. while i lived here i seen 10 plus cop cars drive out at once to break up a party, my upstairs nabors where constantly throwing party's late into the night and management didnt seem to care! i had a drunk old man try to beat down m door at 3 am because he thought it was his. not to mention someone GOT SHOT here. more then once. 10?/10 would not recommend there are way better places for the same price skip it.

absolutely one of the worst apartments communities to live in. Unprofessional and does not fix things in a timely manner. Old outdated units and sticky doors and the paint chips all the time. Rude staff except for Tameka she's awesome and unprofessional maintenance men.

Took away the fireplace 9 months after we moved in and it was honestly the best and only good feature about these apartments. The amenties are outdated and barely work, there is so much paint on every surface that the doors stick shut. The office staff is not helpful at all, when you make a maintenance request they tell you they've made the work order and that repairs will be made in 3 days to a week and if not call back and request again. The carpet is old and tile in the bathroom is as well and chipping away. I dont recommend anyone move his this complex is garbage.

They LIED and leased us a "renovated" apartment with used, nasty carpets, old broken appliances, and our toilet has been broken for months, they've come to fix it 3 times still broken. Water company says they found the leak on customer side, maintenance manager looked in same spot before said he found nothing. They wont fix it. Also have sever black mold in ac ductwork and THEYRE IGNORING IT! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! they sprayed a solution on, closed the vents and called it a day. This is how we found out previous tenants had pets, carpet smells like hot urine. Staff is ignorant, rude, disrespectful, and clearly dislike their jobs. Waiting for an email from higher up in the company, Heading to the board of health if we have not been helped by the end of the week.
I am a current resident and have only been living here for two months. This place is a NIGHTMARE! The office staff lies about the apartments being "move in ready", they lie about putting in work orders, they lie about the fitness center working, the lie about this being a gated community, and lie about which apartment you will be living in. The gates are ALWAYS opened! I paid money for a gym key a month ago that I CAN'T even use and having to fight with them to get my money back! Maintenance has had to come out to my apartment every other day to supposedly "FIX" things! The office will NOT call you when maintenance comes in your apartment nor does maintenance leave a note on your door like they ARE supposed to do. Some of the apartments are remolded on the outside but don't let that confuse you because the inside has NOT been remolded. The office staff is rude and the office manager is always "too busy" to talk to you and she has a attitude problem. The police are always in here due to some type of crime like a shooting that happened a month ago. I was moved from one apartment to another to try to get me to stay living here and I have more issues than what I did before. This place is NOT managed correctly. At Knollwood they don't care about the POEPLE they only care about MONEY! I would NOT move here!
The Property Manger Doesn't Care for residents she catch's Attitudes with all her residents when we are stuff don't get fixed when maintenance comes out. I would not recommend this complex to anyone.
Knollwood is a great place to live, I have lived here since September 1, 2015 and It is a great place to live. The office staff and management is great as well. Maintaince is great as well and the rent is cheap and affordable I would recommend Knollwood Apartments to anyone that is looking for a place to live.
Crime ridden. Out dated, management is terrible!!!!!
Knollwood isn't all bad or all good. There's crime as I'm any apartment complex. The location is perfect. Grocery stores, pharmacies, churches and schools are close. There are several pools in the complex. A hospital is also close by. There's a part across the street as well. The apartments are a little old fashioned. There aren't any security cameras in the complex. Anytime towing (very hard to locate or get in touch with over the phone) rides through the complex late at night towing cars.
Outdated, old appliances that suck elextricity, old hvac that doesn't do its job, unresponsive management, gunshots every other night, supposed to be gated but they have not had the gates closed in atleast 2 years. Not worth the amount they charge for rent.
The apartments are older, but well maintained. The price is affordable. It has 6 pools scattered about the property, a clubhouse & fitness center. Across from the property is Cottage Hill park. It is centrally located in West Mobile and convenient to shopping, recreation and business. The office staff is friendly and maintenance personnel knowledgeable. It is a safe and comfortable place to call home.
