This roomy 3BR apartment has loads of charm, with hardwood floors, wood trim, and a great “classic character” kitchen. There is a huge living room and a full-sized dining room that can fit a table and six chairs. Bedroom 1 can accommodate a double or queen. Bedrooms 2 and 3 can accommodate a twin or double. Exceptional storage with a huge walk-in closet, a coat closet, and a linen closet. A detached one-car garage is included in the rent. For peace and privacy, there are only two apartments in the building and you have the entire floor to yourself. With approximately 1200 square feet, this apartment has the feel and space of a small house, except you do not need to deal with lawn-mowing, snow shoveling, or repair issues, all provided by the owner. The apartment is set amid a small complex of period brick buildings, with lawn areas and room for a garden if you desire. Coin laundry is on premises.

Located about five miles northwest of Downtown Des Moines, Drake is a diverse, affordable community. The neighborhood is home to Drake University, giving it a slight college-town vibe.
