One of Los Angeles County's oldest cities -- Compton -- incorporated in 1888. This city sits on the south side of Los Angeles and is known for the number of famous rap artists it has produced, as well as a variety of actors, directors, writers, and comedians. Famous people who began in Compton include Leslie Sykes, Niecy Nash, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Paul Rodriguez, Kevin Costner, N.W.A, James Coburn, Coolio, and James Wheaton.
While Compton was considered edgy in the 1980s and '90s, it has become a sought-after suburb of Los Angeles, with home prices escalating in recent years. Recently, Compton was named a hotspot for entrepreneurs by Cognetics, Inc. and it is considered one of the best places to start and grow a business. Compton's proximity to Downtown Los Angeles and the easily-accessible highways -- including I-710 and I-105 -- add to the area's recent growth.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Jasmine Garden Apartments
Love the management staff. The ladies are extremely helpful.
Over the past year I have seen vast improvement in this remodeled community. Thanks entirely to new management and rules that are strictly enforced. ??% better since over a year ago. Management treats everyone with respect and is attentive to your needs. Which if you ask me is just what this place needed when I moved here 2 1/2 yes. ago. It seems to me that if my neighbors can sit outside late at night enjoying each other's company then I'd say that's pretty good. My kids don't have to worry about walking into the house from the parking lot because they feel safe. Everyone is treated equally. No discrimination no matter what your ethnicity. All thanks to management. On that note... I think I'll stay a while longer.??
I am so disappointed in the location first of all the property looks nice and peaceful during the day my friend used to live there and I would visit but one night I gave her a ride home and she was harassed by the gang members that hang around not only that the own maintenance guy kept hitting on her and was harassing her trying to get into her pants while on the job I told her to report him but instead she decided to leave the place I think his name was Franc. I am glad she is long gone from this place and I hope that guy got fired I do not recommend this place to nobody!!!
No safety, no accountability by management or owner. Residents are held hostage in their own homes, per say by the gang members who are enabled by management who are more than aware of the crimes against residents but refuse to press. They should be forced to live in the property. They should stop encouraging their residents to report to the police because when done so they do not step in or prevent any retaliation. They refuse to protect their residents and accommodate or excuse the non-resident, loitering, harassing members of the so called gàng members whose ONLY means of income per say, is the crimes committed against the low income, financially assisted such as burglaries and property theft. If you are able to get in any other property, I highly encourage everyone to do so.
