Moving to Marietta? Don’t let your feathers get ruffled the first time you’re told to turn at the big chicken. It’s not a joke. The 56-foot-tall landmark is a staple of most directions. A Georgia Tech student who obviously had a sense of humor designed the giant, steel bird in 1963. The beak opens and closes as the eyes spin around. Stop in for lunch! The chicken is perched atop a KFC. You can also grab (pluck?) a “Big Chicken” mug or T-shirt from the gift shop.
Marietta Square is the central hub for a city that dates back to 1834. The historic square contains antique stores, boutiques, gift shops, and restaurants. It’s also the location of the Marietta Farmer’s Market, a year-round market with more than 65 vendors.
Marietta contains a variety of important places, including Dobbins Air Force Base, Kennesaw State University-Marietta Campus, the Marietta Museum of History, and Six Flags White Water.

Property Ratings at Ivy Commons
Upkept neighborhood for the most part. One bedrooms do not come with washer and dryer connection despite what is advertised. Slight pest problem throughout entire neighborhood. Water was shut off every couple of days due to construction in certain parts of community. Be mindful if you work from home.

No issues or concerns...glad I didnt go by previous reviews.. they keep the grounds clean despite some tenants who choose to litter and abuse the property
Love the community quite clean and I please the maintenance and the people the office very professional.
Mr Jerome in maintenance is very knowledgeable and professional. The property is always clean and clear of trash everyday. I love my drive home through the community.
Beautiful and safe community. I love that kids could play around safely.
Clean, quite living environment. Friendly neighbors.
The office staff is very accommodating. Amie is just amazing. She always responds timely and is very pleasant and understanding. Jerome and his maintenance staff are top notch! Very prompt, professional and courteous. Theyre out every morning ( even on Sunday) cleaning the grounds and maintaining the trash compactor. Great community to live in
I have lived here 3 years almost 4, and any problem or request has been handled in a timely manner. As well the leasing staff members are respectful and helpful.
The office staff is absolutely amazing. The grounds are maintained beautifully. All the neighbors are friendly. It's diverse and everyone is accepting of each other. It's laid back and quiet. The location is perfect. You are never too far from anything.
I'm not having any issues with Ivy Commons the care of the property is great. It's a nice place to call home. Love the staff, friendly and caring.
Leasing staff (Mary, Amie and Mark) were pleasant during the application process. However management, apartment quality, maintenance and repairs have been beyond disappointing and need improvement. Great location close to everything.
Been living here for almost 2 years and have had an excellent time living here. All issues I have had, have been fixed extremely fast and communicated progress extremely well. I feel valued here as a resident.
I like iiving in Ivy Commons. It is peaceful and the community is family friendly.
A great community to live!!
The community is good for the most part. I feel that a security patrol would be beneficial to help control the noise level (excessive loud music in apartment is a bad problem) and even outside especially when people who work third shift are trying to sleep...I mean loud for hours at a time. Also some kind of periodic vehicles check to ensure people are keeping there vehicles registered and make sure there not abandoned and taking up parking spaces due to the number of parking space limit (residents with 2/3 vehicles).
The community is a safe and a beautiful place to live in.
Great staff and team!
We are living here since 2016 and have enjoyed being here at Ivy Commons. I remember when this area was a drive-in theater! The grounds are kept up and kept clean. Some tenants should follow that example with their trash. All in all, I can't of a better place to live.
Peaceful community, beautiful landscaping, and affordable... what more could you ask for!
The maintenance service in this complex is excellent! Steve is one of the maintenance people and my experience with him is excellent as he is timely, complete and competent.
Maintenance....waiting on repairs from last year Customer service....what's that ? This is the 4th management team since we lived there....hmmm neighbor problems they don't care, they tamper with your property no their problem...pyromaniacs ...yes Fire! No one gets hurt rather their property did not get damaged they don't care A car drove into someone's apartment... Yes trying to hit someone...don't pay the rent they on you... but have a problem they have a general response. All about the $$$!!!!!
I applied here a few months ago. Mark was nice showing us the place and sold us a dream. We needed to move ASAP, my lease at my old apartment was almost up, I was pregnant, and needed to be in a home. Once we applied, our move in date was August 1st. It was then pushed back and when I called to find out why, they said it was a bad move out and wouldn’t be ready till the 15th. My old apartment lease ended July 31st. So I was upset, but still said okay. I stayed in hotels until I could move in which obviously cost alot of money. 14th comes, mark then calls and pushed it back AGAIN 3 WEEKS. Had the nerve to offer to downgrade us at full price. Wouldn’t upgrade, or allow us to move into the 1 bedroom until our apartment was ready. No help or consideration for the fact that I was pregnant. Also wouldn’t give our admin fee of $200 back. Ended up having to move back home to Jersey so I wasn’t homeless.
I wasn’t going to do this but I’m over this complex at this point and I should of known I was going to have issues when they gave me a move in day but I couldn’t move in that day. I’ve had to call them a total of 4 times for my AC and heating unit not working. They advised it needed to be replace and told me it was one night when it was leaking and they had to come over. That’s strange a brand new unit is leaking ... right! Then I had to contact them again because it wasn’t cooling. They came in and out my apartment about 8 times today and it’s still not working. I have an alarm system so I get a notification everytime the door opens and closes. The contractor they hired to complete the toilet change left my lights on and didn’t put stuff back where they found them. My cabinets at the bottom really have no bottom on the outside, they covered it up with the floor bordering that’s supposed to go up against a wall but when I sweep, it moves and you can see all the nasty stuff under. My smoke detector which doesn’t require batteries keeps randomly going off. I’ve called about this twice. They don’t actually fix things they cover it up to last a little longer. The walls are extremely thin. I can hear everything my neighbors are doing literally! I’ve never lived in an apartment where they don’t say anything about what they do when they come in and out of the apartments. I came home one day and my door was unlocked because the maintainence left it unlocked. Then he came back and proceeded to use his key to unlock the door after I was in there. The absolute only reason I’m still here is because I don’t want this to go on my credit but I’m about over it and currently looking for another place. This place cost too much money for what you get!
I went to inquire about staying there. I walked in and no one came to greet me for 5 minutes. I heard 2 people talking so I went closer and they were talking badly about the residents and their issues and personal opinions about them. How unprofessional. Then another agent came in and asked if I have been helped. I said No. Then the other agent who was talking to the lady in the office came out and greeted me. I told her (her name is Dawn) that I had to leave for an appointment. Even if they are issues with rent handle it professionally with whatever protocol you have but to bash your tenants openly is not a good sign. I do not want to stay here.
The 1 bedrooms are nice but the 3 bedrooms are horrible. I’ve lived in ther both and I could shoot my self for doing so. There are German cockroaches there. More specifically in 802 station club drive. There are brown stuff everywhere from there trying to treat. Just plain nasty ??. Also, a car ran through my apartment like a month before my least was up. I was moving anyway however they still charged me and I couldn’t have lived away even if was renewing. They suck. There was a time when they deducted my rent twice out of my account and overdrawn it. They didn’t even care. They told I had to wait weeks for a refund. Don’t live here. I’ve warned you.

I love it, it is very nice and cozy... The people are friendly!
We've lived here for 11 years ahevery year they do nice things for the community like back to school events, pool party's Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and patio contest. They used to have zumba classes. We really love it here and appreciate everything that our apartment has. Thank you very much for listing!
