Property Ratings at Indigo Apartments
Just moved into my apartment yesterday. While the apartment is nice the appliance are old and worn down even in a renovated unit . Was told that they would not be replaced and we could use our own washer and dryer since we had one. Disappointed
Went 2 weeks without AC and have water damage to my belongings. Lack of professionalism and accountability regarding both issues. Property manager and regional manager useless as they do not have any regard for the tenants.
I wish that I could give this apartment complex a 0-star review. This is one of the worst property management groups I have had the misfortune of doing business with. When I first moved into my apartment, many fixtures were broken and the dryer and garbage disposal did not work. I lived here for two years, and the garbage disposal was still not working by the time I moved out! During my time as a resident, there were several occasions where my A/C unit went out in the summer, and my heat was not working in the winter. On one such occasion, I had to go 5 days without heat in the winter. The apartments and appliances are very dated, and not worth the money you pay in the area. Please save yourself some grief and do business with one of the other apartment complexes in the area for a comparable rate and a much nicer apartment, with better staff running the place. When I notified them that I would not be renewing my lease, they decided to charge me a premium in addition to my regular rate that forced me to pay a whole month’s rent for a total of 3 days my final month. They tried to justify this premium by informing me that I did not give them a 60-day notice; however, they gave me lease renewal options less than a week prior to when the 60-day notice would have been due, and I gave them my notice prior to the expiration of the lease renewal options. In other words, this apartment complex will give you less than a week to review lease renewal options, attempt to negotiate those options, and decide if you want to accept those options. And if you decide that you don’t want to renew with them, they will charge you a premium even if you notify them that you will not be renewing your lease with them prior to the renewal options expire. I cannot stress this enough, please do not do business with this apartment complex and go to one of the other ones in the area. You will be glad you did!
URGENT WARNING - NEW RESIDENTS BEWARE: This company charges you a $75 application fee PER PERSON. Background checks cost less than $25 per person so they are basically getting FREE money from you. Also, they charge you a $175 Administration Fee BEFORE your application is even accepted so be prepared to spend at least $325 after filling out application. If it gets denied, you will NOT get your $150 back for the applications if two people are on the application/lease. I will keep you posted if they refund my Administration Fee since my application was denied. As of 5/25/23, no refund to my Admin Fee yet. Will update this post daily until I am refunded
Since this property was acquired by Avenue 5 there has been nothing but trouble. The company is greedy and money hungry and could not care less about the happiness of the tenants. In the past year they have forced residents to pay for Spectrum (many of us were with Google Fiber for much cheaper), they are forcing us to send all our packages through Fetch which causes delivery delays, confusion, and makes amazon prime delivery obsolete, they raised the rent at least 200 dollars, and the list goes on. You are completely unable to contact your property manager if you have any questions or issues. The office never answers the phone when you call and it takes days for anyone to respond to an e-mail. They will likely be very kind in getting you to move in but there is absolutely NO support or good will after that. Stay far away.
Like other residents have indicated, the change in Management has been disappointing. Negatives: Communication: It is almost impossible to get any issue (e.g. lease renewals, billing errors, problems with the mail lockers, etc.) resolved over email or phone call in one try. You have to make numerous attempts to get anything resolved and usually can only get resolution if you physically go into the office and remind them multiple times about your problem. Never seen such unprofessional customer service/communication from a management company. This is even more frustrating when your job is during office hours and its hard for you to physically go into the office to beg management to get basic things done. Amenities/Pool: Last summer, the pool was closed and did not open until some point in July. Also, it would be nice if you guys fixed all of the BBQs and made them operational. Pet Waste: You cant go on a walk around the facilities without seeing giant turds all over. On a weekly basis, there will be pet waste on the cement sidewalks on the way to the mail box areas. Its disgusting that you have to use a flash light at night so you wont step in pet waste. Unlimited Recovery Towing: Another resident mentioned his guest’s vehicle was towed for some non-compliance with the parking rules. Quite common to see the tow truck drive around and tow people’s cars. You guys raised rent hundreds of dollars last year… do you guys really need to tow residents/guests cars for minor parking infractions?! Towing should be a last resort - inflation is already hurting peoples pockets. Cable/Internet: once again, you guys raised rent by hundreds of dollars. I know you want to find any opportunity to stick residents with more fees. Is it really necessary to force residents into purchasing internet from your exclusive provider, spectrum?! Positives: Take a walk around in the afternoon and you will not be able to miss the smell of marijuana in the air. Premises are 420 friendly. Great location. Super market is nearby.
I’ve lived here for 4 years and NEVER experienced such poor management. Whoever the new management is need to go! I can see the difference from the ground work, valet trash is thrown all over the property, maintenance requests take 2-3 weeks for completion, last minute “announcements”, extra fees. I could keep going with the list. It’s horrible. Please look elsewhere.
This place was well-run until there was a management switch. Now there’s absolutely no communication with residents unless you email them multiple times about something. It’s almost the end of June and the pool is STILL CLOSED. They haven’t said a word as to why it’s closed or when it will be opening up, if at all. Frustrating and a huge bummer.
The apartments are fine but Property Management is awful. They don't communicate with the residents unless it's to tell us about the food trucks that are coming. I've called the office, but no one answers. I leave a voicemail, but no one calls back. We email them about issues we're having, no answer.
I like it here a beautiful place the grounds are kept very well. You feel at home. I have been here for sometime and very please with the the apartment home. The office employees are the best and maintenance comes on time when you need them. Very please with living here

I realized my A/C was not blowing out cool air from the vents. My apartment felt humid to say the least - and it was over 90 degrees outside. When I checked the thermostat, it showed 71 as the actual temperature, but the expected temperature was set on 68 degrees. I called the leasing office and spoke to Amber, who stated that she would contact maintenance to fix the issue that same day. I had to go to work that afternoon, but when I came back to the apartment, it was COLD......which is my favorite temperature!! I really appreciate Amber and the maintenance staff for their professionalism and quick action to fix my A/C. Just another great reason to live here!!

As a new resident, I am not very pleased with my new townhome. There are a lot of things that need to be fixed and they have not been competed yet. I am not pleased because these things where not fixed prior to my move in date.

Indigo is a decent and inexpensive place to live in RTP. Quite peaceful surrounded by trees and far away from city roads. The office staff is so helpful friendly and attend to any needs I have. I love living here.

I loved this place when I first moved in, but am starting to reconsider. Ive had an issue with wasps on my back porch for a couple months now and put in a request for treatment a couple of times without getting the issue resolved. They also sent out an email recently regarding new restrictions on parking. When I asked for more information, including where visitor parking was I was given a vague answer and when I asked again for clarification my email was just ignored. The buildings also have thin walls. I am in a townhouse and the upstairs in particular has the loudest creaking floor Ive ever heard. When my neighbors go up and down stairs it sounds like their footsteps are above me because the noise carries that easily. The main reasons I chose this townhouse even though I looked at several less expensive communities were because I assumed it would have better noise insulation than an apartment and because I liked the back patio area, and it had good reviews regarding maintenance/management, but now its starting to feel like I am over-paying for nothing.

I have lived at Indigo going on 11 years and came to live here when it was under different management. I came on the recommendation of others who were living here or who had lived here. I love the community atmosphere, the friendliness of the residents, the activities in the complex, and most of all the accessibility/close proximity of other goods and services within the Brier Creek area. I love the fact that there is a walking route to the Food Lion/CVS Plaza in back of the complex. The Office and Maintenance staff are also friendly and attentive. Parcel Pending is located on the property which makes for further convenience along with the covered mailbox hub that we have on site. I have no intentions of moving.

I had never been to NC. I found Indigo online. The option for a townhome was just what we needed. After talking with Kali in the Indigo office we made the decision to move here from 3000 miles across country. Our transition was made as easy as possible. This is a very beautiful and comfortable place. Convent to shopping and can walk to food store. Dogs are welcome and their owners follow the cleanup rule. Indigo is a happy experience.

I enjoy living here. It is perfect location to Durham and Raleigh as well as my job. The amenities are nice and my apartment is spacious. Maintainace and Management are very responsive to any issues, even if it's just plunging my toilet... lol

I love my place! It is spacious and updated amenities are a plus. The property is quiet and very well kept. I have only been here a short while but it is consistently clean and quiet. Front office and maintenance staff are very friendly and extremely prompt in dealing with any requests. The location is so convenient, minutes away from Brier Creek and major highways. Great value for the price.

I can't think of any improvements Indigo could give to make this a better living place. I have had no issues and it's been excellent living here. Communication with the residents is wide, I get emails about upcoming events in the neighborhood and I'm asked updates of how my living situation is from time to time. Amazing services overall!

Ive been living at Indigo for less than a year now and I intend to stay here and renew my lease. Ive been a happy resident! Excellent management! Excellent staff and maintenance team! Great community! Living here feels home away from home.

Indigo has such amazing management, wonderful layouts, and is in a wonderful location. Its close enough to anything you could need while not having to be in the middle of a big city! The staff, by far though, is the best part of living here.
I am impressed with the service that the staff provides to the community. They are very friendly and take time to listen. When there is a problem, they take care of it speedily. The community surroundings are kept clean. Very professional staff!

Its a great place to live and the people are very nice to very quite Community nothing bad happens here that I know and I have been here for 3 years now
Excellent service, fast responses, Office, and maintenance delivered as expected. Have placed online and verbally expressed via phone my residential needs multiple times and incredibly happy with services. Communications are exceptional.
This is my first experience living in a apartment complex and its very nice.

Nice place to live- easy access to Raleigh, Durham and Cary.
I've been here over a year now & so far, so great! The property is great, the amenities are nice (the pool, gym & leasing office are closed/limited due to COVID but in the mean time they are getting renovated!) We're also getting a dog park. Since the pandemic started & more of us are home, they've partnered up with local businesses to offer us tons of food trucks - including icees! The best thing about this place is the staff! Maintenance requests are always answered within 24hours (shout-out to Justin & Phil!) The ladies who work in the office are lovely. They even have an Instagram page @liveatindigoapts where they show off the property with cute videos and update us about community activities. There is a package locker that is open 24 hours as well. Communication is amazing here as they always send us emails about what's going on (such as roof repairs, food trucks and such.) They even worked with me to pay my rent when I stopped working because of the pandemic. I truly love living here Bell Properties has done an amazing job!

It was great when I moved here in 2018. The old owners and staff were amazing. It all went downhill with the new owners. And the unnecessary fees are ridiculous.
The staff and the manager is great!! The Five star is not enough to show how happy I am with Indigo, especially in regards to Leasing Consultant.

I have been a resident of Indigo for a few years now. Since Shari, Amber and the Bell team has taken over the service has been off the charts amazing! You can tell that they all call about the property and the residents. Feel free to check out the other properties, but you will disappointed if you don't choose Indigo.
