The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Icon at Lubbock
We are going on our second year as residents here. I cannot complement the staff more highly. The office staff, beginning with Chloe (who has since left) to Olivia and Molly, who currently work in the office, the staff is very hard working, friendly and thorough. In the few times I’ve had a maintenance issue, they’ve very quickly addressed it. Maintenance itself is fantastic and very quick. And the grounds are kept mown and picked up. I really can’t speak more highly of this complex and it’s employees
I moved to the Icon Apartments at a very stressful time in my life. I just want to say that moving here was the easiest and best Decision that I have made. The customer service is great. My apartment is amazing. Everything works perfectly and when something doesn’t work. Maintenance is quick to repair. The pool and gym are so convenient to have on site. I love the peaceful atmosphere and I would recommend this place to anyone!

the worst apartment complex I’ve lived in. sold my garage that I was renting out from under me to another lady, removed all my belongings from it and I had to go figure it out myself since no one told me. Once I got my belongings back they where ruined. amongst other things the neighbors are loud and we had to call the police on them. there’s plenty of other apartments in the area that are way better. they also charged me once we where leaving for excessive pet hair on the carpets. just want any money they can get. I don’t normally do reviews but this was bad enough that I did.

Your review is concerning to us and we need to know more. Please call 1 833-709-6711 to speak with someone from our team. Sincerely, Bethany
Inspect BEFORE you sign a lease!!! German roach infestation seen in this complex. Please, know that it is a best practice to carefully inspect & complete a walk-through in the evening. (applies to any other apartment complex you may consider as well) Roaches are nocturnal so more active/visible after dark. Research what signs of their presence to look for. If you see even one there may be more.

Hi Deborah, We appreciate your honest feedback regarding your family members apartment. Unfortunately, bugs are inevitable in this area. As you know, we do our best to maintain any pest control issues with our monthly sprays for each unit on property. Your information is helpful and stands true to any rental home, apartment, or temporary living. I'm very sorry we failed to meet your expectations. We hope you will consider visiting us again so we can turn your experience around. Kindest regards, Icon at Lubbock Management
I lived at the icon for a year with my best friend. We lived on the first floor in a two bedroom unit. The walls were so thin you could hear full conversations from your neighbors, when they started the washer or dryer, and when they even flushed the toilet. There was a family with a large dog that lived above us. They left the dog out on the balcony all the time. The balcony had wood planks for the flooring. The dog peed on the balcony and it leaked down to ours and it was disgusting. This happened for several months and we had complained multiple times. Nothing was ever done. Our patio, including the walls, was covered in dog urine and it smelt awful. Nothing was ever done in order to get our patio cleaned up or to prevent this from happening again. There was dog poop left every where out side too. Another issue we had while living here was how rude the office staff was and how poor management was over all. I paid 500$ for my dog plus monthly pet rent. When time came to move out, I was told the carpet needed cleaning due to some pet urine. I expected this because I didn’t get the carpet cleaned before I turned the keys back in. But they then proceed to tell me that there is evidence of a dog being there but they didn’t have my pet fee on file. I paid 500$ for the pet fee and had been paying the monthly pet rent monthly for several months. I had the date when the check was deposited and even a photo copy of the check which read “pet fee”. I told the staff this and she called me a few days later telling me that money had been put towards rent. I never had a rent amount 500 dollars less than it was supposed to be so I don’t know where that money actually went. She then proceeded to tell me something along the lines of “well my manager said we will let it slide” or something that implied it was my fault. Some of the staff members are very rude and the management in general was very poor.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Do not believe the reviews and stars that are posted. I moved from Montana to the Icon in Lubbock almost at the beginning of their existence. The carpet was never stretched in properly and waves started to form. The tile in both bathrooms and kitchen have plenty of corners to catch from not being leveled. The kitchen cabinets were not hung level either. We haven't even gotten to their management policy's. I noticed that I was being charged a credit card fee when paying my rent online using a direct withdrawal or ACH. No credit card is used. When I asked about it I was told that it didn't matter that I wasn't using a credit card. Then the fee was miraculously changed to a convenience fee. I was relocated by my company and to break the lease I have re-upped 3 times they charged me $899 for breaking the lease and two months additional rent. Today I was informed that I now owe for 6 additional days in September because I informed them on the 6 of July and 60 days makes it 9/6/17. My lease is up in October. Which is two months. I am paying them 3 because I terminated the lease. No one at the Icon can give me a good explanation as to why I need to pay 3 months and 6 days on a lease that is set to expire in 2 months. You ask why I continued to rent there? I hate packing and moving is my only explanation. I repeat there are better apartment complexes in Lubbock. DO NOT RENT HERE. If I could give them negative stars I would. Apt 707
I've lived at the Icon for over 5 months I've really enjoyed my stay here the staff is always helpful when I call them, they keep the grounds very clean and cut always a lot of parking for my car and bike like that it's a gated complex I'll be renewing my lease when it comes up for renewal!!! All in all great place to live!
We've been in this 3rd floor, 2 bedroom apartment for over 8 months. The apartment was brand new when we moved in, so really no issues with anything broken or missing. The rooms are nicely sized and spaced. Two fair-sized walk in closets. They'll even have a full sized washer and dryer put in if you don't have your own (for a monthly rental fee). That's the good. Now some of the nitty-gritties: the gates have been in none working condition for most of our time there (over 5 months at least). I really like the idea of a gated apartment, but, not so much here. Then, the rains always create a moat around the parking lot. Bad planning? Not sure, but annoying for sure! Also, I sent several requests for cleaning the walk areas as folks would drag dirty trash to the dumpster, not to mention just random trash around. They finally came up the steps once to sweep a little. My car was consistently hammered with sprinkler water no matter where I parked. Aggrivating. The people in the office are nice and there's usually a nice supply of free cookies, soda, water or chocolate in the clubhouse. It's not a 5 star, but it is in a nice location!
WHILE I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR A WEEK I HAD SET UP A CAMERA IN MY ROOM, WE HAD CALLED AND REPORTED THAT THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL WAS OUT AND BACKING UP INTO THE DISHWASHER (WHICH TOOK THEM OVER A WEEK TO DECIDE TO COME FIX) WHEN THE MAINTENANCE MAN WAS IN MY APARTMENT HE HELPED HIMSELF TO GOD KNOWS WHAT IN MY DRAWERS!!! I CAUGHT HIM ON VIDEO AND REPORTED IT TO THE MAIN OFFICE AND THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!! THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO PUT HIM UNDER INVESTIGATION AND HE STILL WORKS THERE!!!!!!! THE STAFF IS AWFUL FOR SUCH A HIGH PRICED APARTMENT AND FOR BEING A GATED COMMUNITY AT THAT!!!!!!!
The icon is a beautiful apartment complex. I live on the third floor which comes with tall vaulted ceilings, and its so nice. It's a very well put together place, that looks more like a home than an apartment. The staff is very helpful and nice, and the apartment buildings and the amenities in the area, with the gates facilities, workout room, computer station, and the pool and grill area are so well kept. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone!
The apartment here us very nice. Very luxurious and great space. The area is very quite and friendly neighbors.
