Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Bradenton combines coastal living with a strong sense of community. The 1.5-mile Bradenton Riverwalk serves as the heart of the city, offering a waterfront park along the Manatee River where residents gather for events and recreation. Current rental trends show one-bedroom apartments averaging $1,656, with prices showing a slight decrease of 0.55% over the past year. Housing options span across several neighborhoods, including the distinctive Village of the Arts district, where restored bungalows showcase local artists and galleries.
Bradenton residents enjoy both cultural attractions and outdoor recreation. The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature anchors the downtown area, while nearby Anna Maria Island provides access to Gulf Coast beaches. Baseball fans can catch spring training games at LECOM Park, home to the Pittsburgh Pirates, and outdoor enthusiasts often explore the De Soto National Memorial.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hue Watercolor Place
Living at Hue was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The front office was consistently unresponsive and unhelpful once the lease was signed. Whether it was noise complaints or safety concerns, everything was brushed off or ignored entirely. The community is loud, with frequent disturbances and no meaningful oversight from management. It honestly feels like once they have your rent check, they stop caring about the tenant experience. I’ve never lived somewhere that felt so poorly managed and indifferent to residents’ wellbeing. Upon moving out I was charged over $400 in excessive and unjustified fees for very minor wear well within the scope of normal use (charged $160 for a carpet that was left spotless and would only take 5 seconds to clean if there was anything to clean. Charged another $160 on top of just general cleaning that everyone knows they were going to do anyways). No pre-move-out inspection was offered, and the documentation was vague at best. Attempts to dispute the charges were ignored. Motto of this place is profit over people. Save yourself the stress — look elsewhere.

The apartment itself is spacious and the community has good maintenance staff, the worst thing is all the money they charge each month and when you want to leave, when you come to see the apartments they tell you that there is no valet trash or hidden charges, then on the bills they charge you $49 for trash, they charge you for electricity in the hallways, plus the receipt of packages, plus the renter's insurance that they sell, more and more and more, so the water bill with all those fees is never less than $150 when you are going to move out of here, they tell you that you have to pay for the paint and to cover the holes if you have hung pictures on the walls because they do not allow you to fix the walls, they charge you a minimum of $65 for washing carpets, they charge you for open and close the electricity account$30 each. They demand that the cleaning be done in a certain way so they do not need to do anything or cover any expense for the new tenant, meaning you must pay everything necessary for the new tenant to arrive. For all these reasons I do not recommend this community, there are better prices on the market and they offer more comfort for what you pay.

I would put zero stars if I could. I lived there for two years and handed over my keys today. I have had nothing but problems with this place since the day we moved in, and the management team is the worst I have ever dealt with. Here are just a few issues we've had recently: stolen packages, drug busts, cars being broken into, unsupervised children damaging property and vehicles, rats in people's apartments, faulty fire alarm systems that weren't addressed until a tenant called the fire inspector, etc. Management chooses to do nothing about these problems and only focuses on smaller issues that they can use to make money off residents (fees for packages being left in the package area for more than a couple of days and DNA testing dog poop). I've personally never spoken to a resident that likes living at Hue. Also, no matter how clean your apartment is when you move out, they will charge you an exorbitant amount of money (over $1000; several previous tenants and myself have or will have to pay at least that). Seriously, save yourself the headache and live somewhere else.

I'm very concerned to hear about your negative experience during your time in our community. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as it helps us improve and provide a better living environment for all residents. I'd also like to discuss your move-out fee so we can properly address any issues here. Please reach out at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Kelly - Property Manager - (941) 242-0031
I have been a tenant at Hue since it opened. I chose this community based on it's clean air policy (no smoking). The new tenants that moved in below me are chain smokers. Their smoking has caused me to have health issues due to my asthma. The management office will not do anything to stop the smoking and they will not let me out of my lease without penalty. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this property to anyone that does not like smoking.
I’ve been here for 60 days approximately and the last thirty days the pool has been closed 4 times for children pooping in it. The management keep sending emails but do not back them up. Children run amok at the pool so you cannot enjoy it peacefully. The front gate has been open since we moved in so there is no security at all, the gates at the pool are also not working, that might be a city code violation not sure. Have not seen any pool cleaning schedule or anyone out there cleaning apart from dumping chemicals when someone poops in it. There are no consequences for bad behavior here so it goes unchecked. The apartment layouts are nice that is the only redeeming quality, if it were up to me I would break my lease for them not holding up their end. That’s a fantasy unfortunately, they don’t care about the amenities, all they care about is putting people in apartments and locking leases down. Do your homework before coming here…..
Why’s is disgraceful? This place is just beautiful but after you sign the lease and move in you will taste what miserable life means. Full of Unconsidered neighbors who’s uses the pool as toilet, neighbors that rarely clean up after their dogs, neighbors who lives above have no respect for who lives below- walking as horses all day long along with their large dogs running back and forth. If works from home this is not a right place. And administration who has no policy enforcement, have no organization abs don’t care to fix problems.
This complex sells you resort style living at its finest, but does not deliver on their promise. Clubhouse is not clean, stocked, or worth using. WiFi never works. Dog park full of poop and landscaping not taken care of. Needs more staffing in order to maintain the clubhouse. No one cleans or stocks anything over the weekend. Very upsetting. Not worth the rent I am paying to live here.
The Watercolor Place in Bradenton is amazing! Huge pool, gaming room, clubhouse, 2 level workout area, pet spa, etc.
