Property Ratings at Horizon Trails Apartments
this place was my home for over 3 years and the only reason i had to move was because the commute from my home to my job was too far! i am so sad that i had to leave this place it was very spacious with great natural lighting! ive never saw one single bug ever when i lived there- maintenance was always efficient and responded promptly any time i ever had a service request (which was hardly ever) Ben was AMAZING! i needed new blinds and he personally brought them up to my floor and installed them for me which was so helpful because i am a single mom and have no idea how to do any of that. plenty of parking available. really my only complaint was so many stairs getting up to the top floor- however it always kept me in shape! HAHA! I emailed ben and expressed how sad i was to leave and his response was so heart warming! it reaslly is a wonderful community to live in! i will sincerley miss this place!
Beautiful property that is located on a dead end street so there is no traffic noise and it is very quiet and peaceful. Fully remodeled apartments as of 2025 that compare to the brand new properties in the area. Spacious floor plans. Great management and maintenance.
I toured a couple weeks ago and I really hope I can move here! It was very quiet and it felt like home inside! Very spacious.
Loved living here. Only problems I has were noisy neighbors, and it is hard to get ahold of anyone in the office. Ben is great at responding to emails, though. Ben always had management to us within a few days upon request. Being super close to an I-35 ramp was extremely convenient.
They told us the pool would be open as long as they could with the weather. They closed it Aug 25th. Since then days have been in the 90s. Apartments right next to us people are enjoying their pool. So what else do they lie to you about to get you to move in..
I have lived at Horizon Trails for almost 4 years and have had a great experience at the property and with the management. I love that the location is quiet, well maintained and on the outside of town with close access to I-35. The apartments are updated and well layed out with great use of space and storage. If they offered a 3 bedroom option, I would have continued to remain a tenant!
Not sure what everyone else is talking about. From what I saw the complex is very nice. Ben in particular was extremely helpful and professional. I was looking for a place somewhat last mintue and he helped me to the fullest extent without being overbearing like a salesman. He was also more than happy making accommodations for my service dog. I wouldn’t base your decision of off some of these petty entitled peoples’ reviews. Go see for yourself, that’s what I did and I couldn’t be happier. Also I was NOT offered a discount for this review.
Horizon Trails has been a really nice place to live. The access to I-35 is so close that it is easy to get on the highway for a quick trip to Olathe, Overland Park or Kansas City. The grounds are well kept and clean. The amenities gives something for everyone. Really is a great Place To Call Home.
Staff does an incredible job of keeping this place as nice as possible. They aren't afraid to call out residents not following the rules. (This is great! Keeps it nice for all!) They are also very quick to respond to any issues may have. Have had to have them change certain lights and check the trash disposal. Took care of both issues in a very convenient and timely manner. Spacious and well kept, great location. Great place to live!
The staff at Horizon is wonderful, they are extremely friendly and are quick to get anything repaired. Really nice pool, small workout area, business area with computers, and hangout area with grills at the main office. Great location that gives a small town feel, yet right next to I-35 to get anywhere in Kansas City quickly. The apartments are very clean, with high ceilings that make the rooms feel very spacious. Good sized patio/deck area for each unit. Can't beat it for the price.
Clean comes with washer and dryer. Amazing pool small workout. If repairs needed they are quick.
The location is amazing. Never thought I'd find an apartment that felt like it was in the country. Love the accent wall in the living room and the view from the large balcony. Located just off I-35, there is quick and easy access to all of the amenities of a larger city, but still has the small town feel of Gardner, KS.
Horizon Trails complex is nestled between several large fields of tillable acreage. During years the crop rotation includes corn, you literally feel like you are living in the field of dreams. The complex is new, clean and quiet. Extremely close proximity to I-35 which takes you straight into Kansas City, but in a close-knit community brimming with pride. After renting some truly deplorable places, this apartment feels like a dream! Never hear any neighbors, very energy efficient all-electric units, name brand appliances, great maintenance services. I honestly can't say enough about this complex. Lastly, you will pocketing an extra $300-$500 a month compared to renting a comparable unit in the city.
