Property Ratings at Homestead at Hartness
We have loved living here but only because of the neighbors and friends we’ve made and grounds. The home we lived in was very challenging with the master bath located outside of the room and adjacent to the main living area. No privacy. Clubhouse not accessible outside of office hours. Only 2 guests at a time are permitted with you - check your lease, it’s in there. They haven’t pressure washed in over 4 years. Water pressure is lacking. Dated and deteriorating interiors. Pealing cabinet faces, Dirty and decaying grout in bathrooms. Old appliances and fixtures. No ceiling lights in bedrooms. We have had many issues arise with management and huge rent increases over the years…one 20% one year was over 20%. Greystar is the property management company, look them up and see the reviews for yourself. Be careful when deciding on moving here.

The grounds and walking trails are the best feature of living here. It would be very helpful to have connecting paved areas to ride bikes on and be able to walk. There are not enough paved biking trails to really get a nice ride in.

Homestead at Hartness is a wonderful place to live. The community offers everything you can think of. I really have no need to leave unless I need something from the store. Everything is right out the door and you are on a trail to walk or bike ride. It is very peaceful and safe here.

The Homestead is a lifestyle community, cleverly disguised as rental housing. The facilities, grounds, staff and neighbors are terrific. Lots of open-air space, at home or at the clubhouse, pool, walking paths etc.

We searched all over the Greenville area for a condo that would feel like home away from home. We love downtown with all the festivities & restaurants. We also thought about convenience. After looking at several Apts & condos downtown & just outside (walking distance) downtown we still didnt get the feel we wanted. It was like convenience we thought we wanted became unimportant. We reminded ourselves home away from home is more green space, peace & amenities like home back in KY. I mean this when I say the very first day I drove into Hartness I knew we would look no further. I called my husband at work & said I found it! Later that evening he & I drove back over. He loved seeing he would be able to fish, talk long walks, workout & have a homelike setting but not all the maintenance. The next day I went to do the paperwork & make our commitment. They were just a breath of fresh air! To this day they are. We are very grateful for all the staff. On this survey it asked if we would want a change of anything at Hartness. I stated there wasnt. On a light note, my husband would love a golf course! I want a place to ride horses:-) Now there is Top Golf so that helps my husband for sure. I think you all just continue to preserve the beautiful grounds as we believe the Hartness family love doing!

The management Team here at Hartness is beyond amazing. Jennifer, the property manager and Allen, the maintenance Supervisor are beyond helpful and efficient in everything the do. They love their residents and take care of any need that arrises with love and a smile on their faces. They deal with so many people all day long and some who unfairly blame them for things, yet they still always show fairness and professionalism through it all. They are the reason we signed another year contract with Hartness while still searching for our forever home.
Homestead at Hartness is a very unique place to call home. It is in the middle of all the mix of restuarants and shopping of nearby Pelham and Woodruff roads, but far enough away to forget that all of that is only a couple of miles away. Extremely dog friendly community with lakes that any water dog would love. Management Staf is very friendly and courteous and really makes Homestead feel like home.
Homestead at hartness is a community built like a subdivision of something story book in the south! With prestige amenities and friendly neighbors you will feel right at home!
