Highland Pointe

I called to complain about a noise issue I’m having in my complex. It’s tenants playing music early and late at night. Mind you I’ve been here longer then all the tenants in my complex. So I called and spoke to LISA and asked “Can you remind me of Highland Pointe quiet time again?” Which is suppose to be between 10 pm to 10am(That’s what the lease I signed say at least) Just asking so I wasn’t out of place....She said “I dont know the quiet time”, like really? So I asked can you put something out on our doors to remind the people of our quiet time because maybe they don’t know. She said yes but said it with a attitude. They’ve post nothing or sent out any reminders! Still loud music. The following day I received a increase reminder on rent though. Smh. Lease office people don’t care!!!! Don’t move here, can’t wait to move!!!

Beware! This is used for UAH student housing! No parking, trash everywhere, loud bass in the middle of the night, parties in the parking lot! Used to be a nice place!

Lived at Highland point from last year to the present. The apartments are nice yet the staff invade your privacy constantly. The living quarters are too close to be comfortable and neighbors are constantly prodding in your business. Not worth the price. No one should have to live under constant scrutiny when paying a ridiculous amount for rent and amenities that are not kept up. Maintenance staff is also nosey and overstepped boundaries constantly. Do not live here!

I lived at Highland Pointe from 2013-2015 and unfortunately, I highly recommend against anyone considering living there. The apartments are nice enough - although if you live in a townhouse, expect the top floor to stay above 85 degrees the entire summer regardless of the AC setting (multiple people I lived near experienced this and it was never resolved despite complaints). However, the main caution I have against Highland Pointe is that they will try to scam you when you move out. Being a Sealy company, I didn't expect this, so perhaps I wasn't as cautious as I should have been. We moved out and were told everything was settled. I later received notification of $1000 damage to the carpet PAST the deposit amount. We were pretty shocked at the amount, especially considering we took pretty good care of the carpet and we did a LOT of cleaning when we moved out. After all, it was just a fairly small 2 BR townhouse and not all of it was carpeted - furthermore, the carpet was spread between the top and bottom floor; seems unlikely this "damage" could have been so much. So here came the fun part - trying to find out what happened. At first we went to the office and asked for some verification. We were told they always have pictures of this type of thing, and then they just kind of...stared at me. So I said OK, can I see the pictures? (BTW, the carpets had mysteriously ALREADY been replaced, ~1 week after move out). The lady looked surprised I asked and starting flipping through pictures on her computer, but guess what - none of our apartment. We went back on several occasions trying to get verification but never received any. Donna, the manager, actively avoided us. We would go in trying to talk with her and the ladies in the front would say she's busy. We'd call and ask to speak to her, they'd say she's there and then when we mentioned what it was about she wouldn't speak to us. Finally, they referred us to the Sealy corp. offices in Birmingham. Why would I call Birmingham to get proof about damage to an apartment in Huntsville? We called anyway and they told us to talk to the people in Huntsville. After weeks of this I gave up - if you can't provide proof, I'm not paying the bill. Now they've sent this to a collections agency. I will also be disputing this. I moved in to Highland Pointe based off reviews on sites like this one. They need to change their approach to move-outs or they'll start seeing more stuff like this and lose business.

I've lived at Highland Pointe close to six years. I still like it! The staff is nice. I would like them to do activities and offer specials to long term residents.

Highland Pointe Apt. is a great place to live. The community is located in a wonderful area, close to shopping and great schools !

This apartment is in the best location: right across from Kroger, close to several shops, Bridgestreet, breweries, hiking trails, the arsenal, etc. The staff are all great to work with and maintenance is great. Good pool, gym, and tennis court. Lived here for 2.5 years and haven't had a complaint.

The living experience at Highland Pointe is great. After living overseas with the military I moved back to HP because of its great customer service and spacious apartments.

Donna, the manager is great- she's continuously working to update and maintain the property, she's really easy to talk to and she genuinely cares about the residents. I love the apartment we're in (2bed,2bath upstairs) and if there's an issue with anything, maintenance is always friendly and quick. Plus the location is great- right across the street from Kroger grocery store and gas station!!

This 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom a townhouse is amazing!!! It has tons of space, two floors with separate thermostats so u can control upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is nice, plenty space in the living room, nice little outdoor patio with space to BBQ and just relax plant some flowers and etc. The service here is phenomenal. Everyone is very nice and friendly. If you experience any problems in your apartment they send people out quickly as soon as you put in a request. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale apartment complex.

I have lived at Highland Pointe for six years....I am a single woman, working as a special education teacher.... As a single woman, I was very particular about where I chose to live.... Safety was a number one priority of mine, cleanliness of the grounds, and managers that take a personal interest in their residents happiness were all major factors as to why I chose Highland Pointe.... I have always rested well at night, knowing that the grounds were secure, if I ever had a problem, all I had to do was call, and security guards were knocking at my door.... The grounds, pool, and gym are immaculately kept... I don't even have to change a light bulb. The staff knows me by name, and has always been very accommodating... A wonderful place to live!

My family has lived here for several years while we get established in the area. The owners of the complex, the Sealy family, has always put into place wonderful property managers. The current staff from the office personnel to those who take care of the property are excellent. The grounds and buildings are taken care of well. Those in the office are always friendly and helpful. The staff does little things like pool parties and morning breakfast for those going to work. Does your present place compare? I have lived in many apartment complexes in many states during my career, but did not know the meaning of "enjoying apartment living" until I moved here. Where do I begin - the best and most caring staff that I have ever encountered. They are professional while making you feel that you are really important to them. I have never been in the office when I wasn't greeted with a smile and a "what can we do for you today". The maintenance crew are always friendly and eager to make repairs or help with any problem you have . I have never had such good response when I need something done. The best part is, it is permanently fixed! Thanks guys. The corporate office is in the State and are continually sending out forms asking the residents for suggestions on improvements. I have made suggestions and am seeing a couple of them being worked on now. Since they keep the apartments and grounds in excellent shape, I am sure it was already on their agenda, but it certainly makes me feel that they read them. To sum up, I love that i am close to grocery stores, shopping centers, businesses, etc, and would rate this complex the best of the best!!!!!!!!!
