The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at High Meadows Apartments
Nice and friendly neighbors. A quiet place. Well maintained garden landscape (they put a barbeque outdoor at the center of the garden) Outdoor lights are well lit. Pet friendly (I have my Boston terrier who is Odin loves the place too where he always looks at the window if my neighbors passing by). Accommodating Receptionist/Maintenance (She has a solution over your apartment problems and fix it right away). Apartment smells good and clean. Reasonable Laundry token charge. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend this place. I wish that I could stay here much longer. I will never hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommended it. Two Thumbs Up! - RT
I called to ask about two rooms that displays it online that they have available. She said they’re all taken and when I nicely mentioned the two available rooms I saw online, she just said it always says that but all spaces are taken, very rude. Very unprofessional.
I lived in a studio apartment here for two years while attending school, and I'm glad I did. High Meadows was the best-priced apartment complex available when I was looking for a place, and everything else that compared in price was far inferior in quality. The units are clean, and the entire complex is well taken care of. The staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to the complex's and units' upkeep. The location is great as well. It did not take me more than five minutes to drive to campus, there are multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance, and any crimes reported in Dekalb were far from High Meadows. The train noise can get annoying, but only if your unit is backed right up to the tracks AND your windows are open. Otherwise, its nothing to really worry about. I was also worried that the studio unit would be too small for me, but it ended up being plenty big for both me and my pet. Overall, I really enjoyed living here, and I have recommended High Meadows and will continue to recommend High Meadows to anyone looking for a place in Dekalb.
I’ve lived here for almost two years now and I loved my apartment it was affordable and quiet. When something needed to be fixed they were right on it. Easy to afford if you are a college student. Plus there are always reminders in case something is being fixed or being done to the building. They always keep their tenants informed.
High Meadows offers studios and one bedroom apartments at an affordable price. The apartments have been updated with new flooring, windows and vertical blinds. Also best in town if you have a pet. They accept both cats and dogs for a low monthly fee. High Meadows overall is a calm and quiet complex. Also walking distance to campus, bars, and restaurants. For the cold and rainy days, both Huskie bus and Green Line bus stops are located right in front of the complex. The building management are very friendly and helpful when you need something. Things get fixed fairly quickly when the management is notified. Laundry in building and lastly water and gas are included. Tenants are only responsible for electric. I would definitely recommend.
I have lived in high meadows for a little over two years. This is the best place in DeKalb that allows pets for a very affordable price. Also every time something is wrong, they fix it quick and without complaining. Neighbors are pretty quiet too.
