Property Ratings at Hidden Oak
It’s a great apartment, loved the management. Family friendly building that is very quiet. Not a lot of traffic, so it’s very peaceful. Loved how well they maintain the buildings and grounds. Never had an issue while I was here. I would’ve stayed if my job was closer. Utilities: Water/Sewage was typically $30-40 per month. Gas/Electric was $200 per month. Internet $120 for the 1gb spectrum. Renter’s insurance is $20 per month. So add about $400 to monthly expenses. Just thought it might be helpful for some. I averaged all my utilities over the last 6 months. Things that surpised me: Underground parking is very hard to find your spot at first. Ask the management for the number of your spot. You are required to park in the garage during the winter. Storage space is worth it if you have the 3rd floor, it’s much bigger and on your actual floor. Others are in the undergound garage and very small. I got a christmas gift bag which was adorable. The little events are so cute too. I really loved it here. My neighbors were friendly and it was really easygoing around here. I loved the view from my balcony and it just felt like I wasn’t so close to the highway. I only heard the train a few times, besides that it was quiet at night. Really close to any shopping, healthcare, or resturants. I would love to come back here one day.

Management consists of some really cold hearted and ineffective individuals. They change the locks on community amenities and then charge you for a new key, even when your old one worked just fine. It takes 2+ days for snow removal, and it's not even done well (in fact, there is a resident outside RIGHT NOW shoveling the parking lot because no one has showed up yet). It took over 6 months for them to "upgrade" a perfectly functional intercom/door buzzer system, all the while the building's front door would only lock sometimes. Now, no one even uses it because it's not user friendly, and the hardware in the apartments is useless because they redirected all "buzzes" to residents' cell phones...without so much as asking if that was going to be acceptable. It took months to finish changing carpet in the hallways, leaving residents, their children, and pets to walk over exposed nails, with no workers onsite for weeks at a time. They'll mark your vehicle for towing with less than 24 hours of notice, but won't even pay you a courtesy call. This is even more troubling when you understand that your vehicles are registered with the office, and they know exactly who it belongs to. When you call them to ask them for an extra day to get your affairs in order, they'll just cite the lease - no compassion. They ignore service requests on the weekend and instead opt to have the fire department show up to figure out why there is smoke coming from someone's bathroom exhaust fan. They throw money away on low quality and unthoughtful "gifts" for residents, just increasing the amount of waste we have in this world. They let the trash overflow in the garage week after week, instead of just getting an additional receptacle. They leave monthly HVAC filter changes to the resident, but don't drop off filters for them to do it. Overall, the apartments are nice and the location is pretty great, but I can't wait to move out.
2 minutes agoNEW Management team is rude and lied to us when we inquired about our account and payment being processed. There are no cameras anywhere in/outside property and while we were residents there, multiple thefts occurred; multiple underground storage units were damaged and broken into. This place is NOT worth the increase in rent. You hear your neighbors all the time.
My 5 years at Hidden Oak was great! I loved the underground parking and elevators. Everything was cozy. I lived on second and third floor as I upgraded as time moved on. Love the manager and assistant. I appreciated the use of the Club House for many family events. Very friendly and family oriented atmosphere. Maintenance treated me with the most respect and took care of everything asap. I loved my apartment, great view and lots of good memories made while at Hidden Oak! Thank you!!
I have had a great experience with Hidden Oak apartments so far. I have lived here for two years and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. The complex has a workout room and a pool that can be used at no additional cost, which I really love. Whenever we have a maintenance issue it gets fixed promptly and the maintenance staff are knowledgeable and very personable, a very large contrast to what I am used to. There is also a parking garage below the apartment, which is great when we have any nasty weather, because there is sometimes a threat of hail damage, I am glad to have the garage because even though no hail has hit yet it gives me peace of mind. Overall I would highly suggest living here if you choose to live in this area of Wisconsin.

With underground parking and very spacious apartments everyday's a Holiday here at Hidden Oaks.
