The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hickory Square Apartments
An absolutely horrible establishment. Been a long time resident so you would think that your show of commitment to them would be reciprocated but instead it's the exact opposite. I've never missed a payment or caused any trouble in nearly 4 years and they still are rude and dismissive. Ive had mouse, earwig, and spider infestations that they fail to address. They will raise your rent suddenly without warning, "misplace" your rent checks that you physically handed to them 3 days before the due date in order to give you phantom late fees and also parking fees for your parking your own vehicle at your own complex. This place is a joke with borderline extortionist money grabbing practices and should only be rented as a last resort.
I would highly advise against renting in this complex! The office ladies are rude and gossipy and love drama. There is a major infestation of earwigs and when u request an extermination, they tell u he only comes once a month and makes no exceptions. If you live in a pet building and they dont replace the carpet before you move in, be prepared for your pet to have fleas! The garbage dumpsters are ALWAYS overflowing with old smelly garbage and once its full, people just throw their garbage on the ground which intises rats and stray cats (will attach pics soon) Dont consider any lease unless its a year! I paid $300 extra every month since was not a year lease, i was NEVER EVER late, not one time and the apartment just decided they didnt want me here anymore (which prolly has something to do with the rude gossip ladies up front tht are very unprofessional and dont like tiny women) so they sent me a notice and said to vacate in 30 days with no warning. When you try to call management to discuss, they tell you management does NOT accept phone calls and all inquiries must be MAILED to some p.o. box..by the time snail mail is delivered, your 30 days is up and you have to go even if you are disputing! The parking lot is a war to the death and the police are here every week with tenants physically fighting over parking spots. Several units have tenants tht sell drugs out of them and as long as u gossip with girls upfront, u can continue to sell these drugs. I could continue but these are most important points. I would HIGHLY suggest not renting in this nasty place unless u want to be homeless after a few months FOR NO REASON other than "they just want their unit back".....RUN AND RUN FAR AWAY!!!!
Hickory square, while convenient is over priced. The apartments are made to look nice but slowly crumble after minimal wear. Black mold, earwigs, spiders and other bugs everywhere all the time. During summer I killed about 15 earwigs every night. There is a huge lack of parking, leaving us to park buildings away from our own because there is no parking spots for our building. Not to mention my rent was raised without any notice. 660 dollars a month for a two bedroom apartment is outrageous, especially for such mediocre quality. These apartments are great if you're desperate.
I have lived in a rather spacious 1 bedroom apartment on the first floor for 1 year now. The apartments are clean and well kept. Maintenance is quick to respond if you need them. (Our refrigerator wasn't working right and they immediately came by to look at it then brought us a new one without question). All of the staff is polite, helpful, and friendly. I hardly ever hear my neighbors. The pool is nice. Minutes away from grocery store. My only complaint is through the winter the parking lot was not plowed well. I would recommend this complex to someone else!
