The pool and gym is nice. Love the washer and dryer in the apartment and there try to keep the place clean

Heron Lake is a quiet residential community with good neighbors and the ability to keep whatever breed of dog you like which is a huge plus. I've lived here 7 years and love it.

I moved in 2 months ago and the air conditioner, washing machine, and bathroom fan was not working was not working from the first day. There has been multiple problems since moving in. The "remodel" is not updated but only a new floor and bandaid patches to old fixtures. They don't really work. Leak in my wall in the downstairs apartment. I asked for a repair 6 weeks ago, I am still waiting. When it rains hard it soaks my living room wall and they will not send someone to at least caulk the outside suspected place of leakage.

Ever since the change in management there have been legitimately impactful changes to my home and community. Some examples are security cameras, fresh paved roads and a brand new AC unit in my apartment!

This is, without a question, the worst apartment complex I have ever had the displeasure of living in. Between taking THREE MONTHS to fix a freezer that was broken when I moved in and anthills coming inside through the walls, kids yelling at the pool past 4 am and dog owners never picking up after their dogs, this complex is horrible. PLEASE save yourself several hundred dollars and a few migraines during your sleepless nights and RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
I'm living in Heron Lake four years and I have no complaints, nice community clean apartments great services great people I feel very happy
It's a lovely community with nice decently spacious apartments. The kitchens could be bigger but after all its an apartment. In a 2 bedroom both rooms are of equal size so no one feels cheated and both have walk in closets. Both bathrooms are also the same size - one is in the bedroom the other is open to the living room but also connects through the walk in closet to the other bedroom. I live on the second floor and have never had any problem with roaches or other pests except mild case of gnats seasonally but hardly anything worth noting. Management has always been quick to respond to requests and the community is kept clean. Overall I'm pleased with my living situation at Heron Lake.
apartment floor plann is functional however rent rate is ridcilous. once sumbit service request, it doesnt always complete in 2 days. also, when calling to the front desk. they almost dont answer the phone. apartment always have some kind of nats, cockroach even frog. we always have pest control and they continue to come for 2 months. cockroach finally disappear but meanwhile they come back.
A few problems have been reported and ignored. Beginning 08/01/2016 the rent will be put in escrow rather than their greedy paws. Come end of lease, I'M GONE! Won't give them another penny of my hard earned money unless they honor the lease agreement and FIX THE PROBLEMS.
I love my Apartment its quiet and peaceful has a lot of closet space more room then I really need and unlike most apartments now a days its has a washer and dryer included if I ever have to move I will be very upset I love living here that much
The apartment is small a very expensive the staff is nice and it's quiet here I just think the price is a lil high for the quality
