Property Ratings at Hemingway House Apartments
The people that live here are very rude and the people that run the apartment complex do not care at all nor do they take the responsibility to stop the people that live at the apartment from doing what they are doing. Even if you have proof of everything that has been done to you, they still choose not to help you. And if Things still does not go their way. They will choose not to renew your lease, which is petty because we have been paying everything on time and have been following all the rules, also another reason for not living here for long. You constantly have to keep calling them to come fix things such as the dishwasher, the sink, the drawers for some reason won’t stay on the tracks, etc. Other than that it was very beautiful and my dog really enjoyed Walking around the complex as well.

We have been here over 3 yrs and just about every week the apts shut off the water and MOST OF THE TIME,they do it without notifying you.This is ridiculous already!The same way they expect rent due when it is or they charge late fee,we expect to be told when the water will be shut off.I'm assuming they have a lot of problems with water lines and such.I don't understand why they just don't replace it all instead of having to repair it every week.The office is hardly ever there.They leave for lunch and normally don't get back until 3 or after 3,which is really inconvenient.Maintenance always takes long to repair things in our apt when sometimes needs fixing.Our rent has been going up $100 everytime we renew.We don't move because we are staying until we purchase a home to avoid having to move our kids schools.

We are sorry you feel this way. We are on a boiler system and can not shut off water to one unit at a time due to a leak. If you have a maintenance problem please call to let us know anytime we are always here from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-5:00. We follow the market in the area as far as rent. and if you will make sure you have signed up for our new text system that is the fastest way we can let 195 units know about water going off. Thank you
I know many people have rated this complex bad. I have no complaints to how well any concerns i have are handled. People who move into an apartment as old as these can't expect royalty, bc they're old but very great people who work n care. I'm glad i chose them, looking to upgrade to a 2bdrm next year.
Great place to live. Management is great. Maintence when needed respond quickly. They are making improvements to keep up with new apartment complexes. Rent is low and benefits the population that Will stick around when economy returns to normal. Can go wrong with this property.
I've been living here for a little over three years now and so far I have no major complaints. Maintenance is great they're quick to resolve any problems you're having with the apartment. When I first moved in it was fairly clean, new carpet fresh paint all the good stuff, the only problem I had was that there is no lighting in the bedrooms so you will have to invest in some lamps. Another thing is sometimes they shut off the water without warning, doesn't happen a lot but they should at least leave letters to let their tenants know they are doing so. Office staff is good my only complaint is when it come to their lunch there's been times where I have had to wait until 3pm for them to get back from their lunch! Which was extremely inconvinient. Once your able to get a hold of them they are great at resolving any issues or answering any questions you may have. The parking lot was recently redone and our pool was also recently remodeled. Overall I would rate this place 3 and a half stars.
