The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Heights at Jackson Village, A 55+ Community
The apartment is nice with laminate floors, granite counters, and good storage. However, the community isn't organized for seniors. The entrance way to the building is difficult to manage because the handicap doors don't all open at once and the key to open the inner door is behind the door which is very hard to navigate. The building was supposed to have functioning trash rooms on each floor, but those were canceled and you have to take trash a fair distance to the dumpster. There isn't enough parking for vehicles with handicapped parking placards, and all the spaces in the front of the building have been reserved. We used to have package delivery to our doors, but now they are using a "package" room that is in a separate building. The toilets seats are only 16" high, not the recommended height for people with mobility issues. There are no grab bars in the shower. We are outside of the public transportation service area for Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania. You can hear the traffic from I-95, especially at night.
The property is really nice, but more importantly I like how the property is kept and the quality of service. It is very important to me in a 55+ community that the property is properly maintained. There is not a day that I have not seen the building being clean. From day one all of the staff and management have been very polite, helpful and accommodating. One of the thing that I appreciate that the community is trying to engage residents in activities that they are sponsoring. It is an excellent way to get to meet and engage with your neighbors. This is a very affordable community for people who fall in this age category. Plus they have very nice floor plans. I like the fact that they are not off of a busy Thero fare.
We moved here on 11/1/23 and this is an amazing place to live! The apartments are gorgeous and roomy. We absolutely love living here, lots of amenities and great opportunities for socialization! The Club house is the place to get to know your neighbors from coffee socials, crafts, game nights and much more. O and the pool is simply beautiful. So if you’re looking for a place to relax and call home, this is the place for you!
