The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Heights at Battle Creek
Literally the worst place to live. The office NEVER answers the phones. They continuously add in fees, claim they legally can and then cant even explain what the fees are for/coming from. The gates are always broken. Don't have packages mailed to your apt, you will be at the post office every single day to pick up your things cause they wont accept them at the office. "Valet" trash service is a joke, you pay for it but take trash out yourself cause it just sits and sits. The dumpster area is absolutely disgusting and they just pile trash and let it sit days on end. They do not keep the property clean, there is trash and poop all over. If i could get out of my lease without paying an arm and leg, i would. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I could go on and on about the horrible things wrong with this place and that have happened to us but here’s some. From adding huge fees and not taking care of them, to what they call “management”, from the disgusting trash and poop everywhere, the unsafe atmosphere between people who live there and the constant break ins of cars and things being stolen off patios, everything is broken including the front gates always, to the front office not EVER!!! ANSWERING THE PHONES!!!!! Or getting back to you!!! or not knowing anything ever, the lack of care, compassion and urgency the property manger and office employees have for their tenants, new front office people every week who could care less to be there, and the false advertising of on site security (we always have to call the police) I could go on and on and I promise you it does not end there. I promise you this place is not worth a single penny you make or own or worth the sanity you will loose living here. I couldn’t be more happy to be gone.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to us, we're sorry to hear that your gone, we truly valued you as a resident. I apologize for any inconvenience that you had with your stay here with us. We're known to be attentive to our residents, and I'm sorry we missed the mark with you. We do wish you the best of luck in the future.
When we first moved in it was okay cause we slowly moved our stuff from our other apartment. But when we fully moved in and our first night in we started seeing things wrong with the apartment. 1. Every time we turned on the heater or when it gets warm we could smell dog pee in both the rooms. It was so bad we tried everything. I just wish they replaced the carpets before we moved in. 2. Also with turning on the heater or cooler we could smell cigarette smoke threw out the apartment. 3. DOG POOP!!!!! I swear you have grown people walking their dogs and they don’t pick up after their dogs. And you have them other people who don’t have their dog on a leash. My small breed dog almost got attacked by a blue pit bull that was not on its leash. With all this, I’m so ready to get out of here!!!!!
Customer service should be top on the list to keep tenants happy as well as to keep refferals coming in. The office staff is SO rude. They never answer the phone !! So you have to go in to the office. The new girl, Jessica has no customer service skills .
Dont try to call they never answer the phone . Office staff is never on the same page . I go in to ask questions ;of course because they don’t answer the phone , and get one answer from one staff and a total different from another. You have to constantly check you monthly fees because they WILL add things on there if I didn’t look I would of just paid it . I shouldn’t have to check every month to make sure I’m not being charged addition fees just because. Walls are super thin you can hear everyone’s move . it’s supposed to be a home not a headache.
When i moved in my apartment was dirty. Still had grease caked on the stove & the oven was filthy. Clothes still in the closet, dirty light switches, and laundry room. Although the staff in the office is eventually somewhat helpful, its a consistent headache when you have to consistently go into the office & get things corrected for your monthly bill. They never answer the phone, if you leave a vm you probably won't get a call back unless it's been over 48hrs first. there's dog poop everywhere,(the size of dogs allowed here should only be allowed for people who have houses, they're german shepards, labs, etc. they don't take care of complaints, which results in you trying to call more about the same problems but again they don't answer the phones. dogs are always left alone barking inside. kids that don't live on your floor are always on your balcony. they charge you diffrent fees, & when you try to discuss it w them they somehow make it your fault instead of owning their issues. Noone in the office knows anything about what you talked to anyone else about, there is no communication between any of the staff. I was even told I can call the property manager if I like!! The "gym" is the size of a closet; it has 2 treadmills & a bicycle, the bathrooms are bigger than the gym. the pool does not accommodate the entire facility. its a gated community but we have solicitors every weekend, & week nights. gates are hardly ever closed if they work at all. the trash valet trash leaves it over the weekend leaving your balconies to smell and get stained but no one comes to power wash the balconies or the stairwells anymore, leaving it a perfect environment for bugs. When they do come and spray, they halfass it. none of the lights work in the stairwells, leaving it very dark in early morning & over night. there's hardly anywhere to park on a regular basis. The office staff is quick to say I'm sorry, instead of being proactive in preventing issues. The walls & floors are so thin you can hear above you, next door to you, and actually below you. the cost of rent for these smaller sized apartments, it's an uphill battle & you're made to feel like you have to earn the right to live there monthly. If you renew your lease, you will easily pay no less than $100-$150 increase, because its the "current market rate". There's no incentive for being a long term tenant.
Great staff, beautiful apartments, spacious layouts.
I have lived here for a couple of years now, and have always had trouble with my air conditioner. I would let the office know, and then the maintenance guy would not do much of anything to fix the problem. When I reluctantly put in another request for my air conditioner to be fixed, I was pleasantly surprised when a nice gentleman promptly came to my door to fix my a/c. I explained to him the problems I had been having, and he throughly explained what he thought the problem was. He started working on it, and even came to my door to let me know, he had to go get extra parts because he didn't want me to think that he had just left without finishing the job. After finishing the job the maintenance man explained what he did to fix my air conditioner and told me if I ever needed anything else to call and ask for the maintenance supervisor.
We gave plenty of notice that we were vacating and actually paid through december even though we vacated in November. they then tried to collect future rent from us even though they were receiving rent from a new tenant. This IS contrary to Oklahoma LAW (41 Okla. Stat. Ann. § 129.). Also, the whole last month we were there, they repaired our leaking bath tub with duct tape!!!
My wife and I moved here just before the 2015 summer. I must say that our stay here has been nothing but pleasant. The maintenance here (which I believe is one guy) is prompt whenever we have an issue, our filters are even changed every thirty days!
