Located off I-71 between Columbus and Cleveland, Mansfield is a hilly, tree-filled, historic city halfway between its two larger neighbors. Mansfield was founded in 1808 and one of its main attractions is somewhat unusual: it's the historic Ohio State Reformatory, built in 1886 and featured in the movie, The Shawshank Redemption. The prison closed in 1990 and is now open for tours. The prison is supposedly haunted and has been featured on the TV shows Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and Ghost Asylum. Mansfield is also home to the Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, Newman Technology Inc., Mansfield Motor Speedway, and Noaa National Weather Services.
Mansfield is a college town, home to the Ohio State University at Mansfield. Downtown Mansfield provides a fantastic shopping and dining destination with elegant architecture wrapped around a historic town square.

Heatherwood Terrance is a quiet community to live in and it's nice. The staff especially Olivia are very friendly and knowledgeable. I lived here about 22yrs ago and they are pretty much the same. They definitely keep up with the maintenance. I was super excited to live here again after all this time.

Honestly this place was exactly what my girlfriend and I was looking for. Age 18, age 20. This was our first apartment and it was a nice area, rent was fair, but honestly the great thing was being located right off of us-30. Very easy to get to the areas we needed to go.
My husband and I have lived at Heatherwood for 3 years now. We are now looking to move to a different town and I find myself comparing each place to my home here at Heatherwood. The town home is spacious and homey. There is plenty of room throughout the house especially on the lower level. The bedrooms are huge and easily fit my queen bed giant dresser and a reading nook! I am truly going to miss this house and can hopefully find something comparable. Management has always been friendly and helpful through anything and wants to make she the tenants are happy and taken care of. I wouldn't rent anywhere else in Mansfield Ohio!
I have lived at Heatherwood three times now because I keep coming back after having bad experiences elsewhere. The landlord is approachable and she goes above and beyond to make sure my issues are resolved. My rent checks are always taken out in a timely manner (a previous landlord elsewhere waited almost a month to cash mine before) I have lived in the 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and they are some of the cleanest, best working units I have had the pleasure to rent! I have never had any major issues like fires, floods, or faulty/damaged units. I also have never had an insect or mouse problem in any of my apartments! It is in a great location off of 30 and near 71 in a quiet, safe neighborhood!
I have lived at Heatherwood going on 9 years now. My friend lived here when I was younger and when I was living in an apartment I dreamed of living in heatherwood. Since being here I have seen amazing community events. I get maintenance soon after I call and overall have been pretty happy. I love the brick walls and the natural wood beams in my apartment. Do not plan on moving soon. Suggest it to my friends.
I have been with "Heatherwood" for over a year. I have found it to be very nice. It is a place where people are respectful and friendly. There are great community areas to go for a walk, picnic with your family, or just run with your dog. Close to the freeway and interstate, close to downtown yet it is quiet and rural. The diversity of people is refreshing, you have families, college kids, single people and elderly it just all works well together. "Heatherwood" is a great place to live.
