Property Ratings at Heathergate Club Apartments
I am not an easily upset person, but this leasing office has managed to do that and more. You can't even enter the office, they hardly answer calls, they lied about having a working pool, our flooring tile is literally peeling up off of the floor, maintenance is first come first serve with NO EMERGENCY OPTION!!! We avoid putting in requests because we don't like to cause any inconvenience and are fairly handy, but our refrigerator went out and we had not heard anything after submitting a work order, so I called to request any kind of urgency or timeline. They refused to provide us with either one which now leaves us without a fridge for the holidays/foreseeable future, considering the last maintenance request for a key (which we were supposed to have at move in) took 4 MONTHS to complete. If you don't mind never hearing from your landlord in any capacity other than passive aggressive signs all over the mailroom and office patronizing renters for being upset with their lack of service, then feel free and enjoy your time with Capri leasing.
HORRIBLE/ extremely rude management and maintenance (including the CEO, Maggie). sewage flooding in building 2 was not addressed for over 20 hours, and they refused to replace carpeting. will not fix air conditioning for days to weeks.
I have lived here for several years and this place has drastically declined. It's bug infested, and management has done nothing to fix the problem!!! Management and staff lack good customer service, and nothing gets repaired without multiple calls, complaints and service requests. No amenities available(pool has been closed for years). If you want a tranquil place to live, this place is not it.
The management team is very patient and understanding. Any problems I have reported to maintenance was fixed the same day within hours. Security officer sits in the parking lot & patrol the entire complex all night.
Be careful when you rent here. Not very good with keeping up on maintenance, and will rent a unit out from under you. AC units taking 2-7 days to fix, even if it's 92 in your apt. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are told things up front then when things happen, all of a sudden nobody said that, As soon as I moved in I realized repairs were not done from previous renter. one night I was awoken to a knock on the door at 3am because of a gas leak, the next morning I smelled gas so I called, I was told there was no leak and everything was ok. Around 1pm that day I received a phone call because somebody smelled gas near my apartment, Turns out there was a gas leak. The ceiling above my kitchen leaked and dropped into my apartment twice. The first time they were out within an hour. The second time which was about 2 months later same spot, I messaged head of maintenance and they said how bad is it could it wait til tomorrow, as water is dripping into my apartment so I told them probably not because water is dripping into the apartment, nobody showed up until noon the next day. I called the office to speak to somebody I was told to contact “MAGGIE” the CEO turns out she probably doesn’t exist, I left a message on answering machine with no return call. I was late on rent a few days which was my fault, but I came home to a big yellow embarrassing note on the door to vacate because of late rent “ONE TIME” I bought a house during my lease because this place turned me off completely on apartment living, I called to discuss my options and they said one thing then I called a month later to rediscuss after I found a home. I was told something completely different after I already was set up for closing on my home. The office girls don’t know anything, of course I asked to speak to a manager after this incident, left a message for Maggie again and of course no return phone call. Every time something goes wrong they tell you to call this phantom MAGGIE person who to this point I believe isn’t even a real person. But to top it off I was told that leaving a lease early I could wait til somebody rents it out and pay rent until then, but regardless I wouldn’t pay more than 2 months rent. So I spent a few hours scrubbing and cleaning before move out so it would be ready for renters. I just received a final bill with charges for carpet cleaning in the while apartment which there was only one spot by kitchen that needed it, 5 dollars to replace a lightbulb, 10 dollars to put smoke detectors back up which were sitting on counter. 25 dollars to clean a fridge that I scrubbed. And to top it off they are charging me the rest of my lease for rent. Do not move here.
I've lived here almost 3 years now with no issues! I recently had a problem with my A/C and someone was out to address the issue the next day! I've never lived anywhere where service was that prompt. Very satisfied with the customer service
These complexes are horrible. They try and blame you for any little thing just to get money out of you. The pool/gym are closed permanently so you are paying for nothing but space. Management never gets back to you you can only text her. The layout is nice but the hassle is not worth the money. I would highly recommend a new choice!
Property management is terrible. Avoid this complex and anything else they own. They do not care about their tenants or about fixing anything when it breaks. Don't expect to see your security deposit again. As other people have said, no matter how clean you leave the place, they will find something to charge you for. Rent anywhere else in Toledo!
Maintenance people don’t know how to do anything. I called to have them fix our garbage disposal and they made it worse. Called them back and they said “it’s supposed to do that”. Last I checked garbage disposals aren’t supposed to spit food back out at you. Our screen door is broken, called to have it fixed, and maintenance told me they didn’t know how to fix it. We have ants in our unit, I called them and asked to come spray and they say they don’t do that unless it becomes a problem. It is a problem. There are ants everywhere but they don’t care.
Be prepared to get screwed over ...I did a thorough cleaning from a-z I completed the check off list one by one after completing clean up and move...I received a bill in they charged me for painting the front door and stated it is tenants are responsible for since when...I notified them about the towel rack and pointed it out on check in list and still was charged..for it..they took pictures of the outside of the building where I loved but it is not the same apartment I live in..this shady company took picture of a handicap apartment and stated that was mine when I confront them they are saying it was a mistake and the picture shouldn't be there but still got charged... i would not recommend this place at all you will be screwed over come move out you are warned
Have lived here for less then a year and they have came through our apartments at least 5 times for a ‘water inspection’ while we are not at home. Haven’t had any water issues so not sure why you’re in our apartment so much. Talk about invasion of privacy. Staff seems overall rude once you’re moved in and apparently even though you’re paying for up to 2 pets and gave the pet security deposit, because you didn’t ‘register’ the second they gave us a 300.00 unregistered pet fee. WHAT A JOKE. Registering consisted of giving our pets name and a picture. Our monthly rent did not change but of course the 300.00 fee was still in play. Apartment is nice but this does not feel like a home. I would not recommend anyone move here, you can find way better.
Like others have said, they charge you for everything they possibly can when you move out. As an example, we were charged for leaving a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, not a joke. The other charges were equally as outrageous. They even charged us to repaint, which last I checked is included in the whole apartment deal. We left the place spotless. To make matters worse, they send you directly to collections before you even have the invoice. The first time you find out you owe them money is through a collection agency. It's truly not worth living here. They made moving out an absolute nightmare and ruined an otherwise decent apartment experience. Look elsewhere. There are more ethical places out there.
I wish I could give a zero star, this nothing but a scam. I was lied to to move in that I could switch to a two bedroom apt once it becomes available from my current one bedroom. They took another application fee from me again for an available two bedroom and asked me to come back on Friday, well today is Friday and they told me that the apt is gone (my second application fee is gone too). Scam from the beginning. Worse customer service!
The appartment itself was nice at first but it was very dirty and had a lot of things that were broke once you got in. But the worst part is when you move out, you will not get your security deposit back because they will charge you for the things that they did not fix when you moved in. They charge $140 for broken blinds that cost them only $6 to get. It's just bad and they will rob you even if the place is cleaner when you move out then when you moved in.
They gladly accept your application and nonrefundable $25, but when your credit background check is approved they will not put you on a list for an available apartment. Instead they tell you to call back (they will not call you) to see if an apartment is available because it is first come first serve...well first come first serve should be the first applicants that are approved should be first served when an apartment is available. This is obviously a scam to make $25 off of many people!
My sister in law just moved here they are nice in size play ground for kids etc.
