Property Ratings at Heartsease Shallotte
We are very happy here in Heartsease of Shallotte. This is our first experience in renting a home prior to this we have always owned our own home. The community is very pretty, and well kept, it is quiet, and our neighbors are very friendly. The Community Manager and staff are very professional, courteous, and prompt in resolving any issues we may have with our cottage. We love the area and living in Shallotte, NC Bill & Doretta Tate
This little community has what you’re looking for if you’re looking for your own individual, modern, newly built cottage with amenities and NO HOA fees! As a resident you have the use of the beautiful clubhouse equipped with a kitchen n lounging area, an exercise room with state of the art equipment, a large pool area with barbecue, screened porch, outdoor fire pit and two brand new pickle ball courts! All done to encourage a community feel and bring residents together. Also, all concerns or problems are dealt with almost immediately by the staff so very happy there as well!!
Absolutely love this place!! The staff is welcoming and always there to answer any questions. The property is clean and well maintained. The amenities are exactly what we need for our family. So happy I chose to live here!!
I'm the process of relocating from raleigh to the shallotte/calabash area. I went to look at several places in the area. after touring the homes and asking a bunch of questions, i realized how friendly and helpful Britney and Lerlene were at Heartsease at Shallotte (and how unresponsive and rude some are- many of these mgmt companies arent even in NC and have never seen the communities where they are renting). the places themselves are very nice and have all your ammenities. the pool area and clubhouse are also first rate! another big plus is all your shopping needs are close by (some good bars and restaraunts as well)and you are a minute away from 17 and close to the beaches. its worth having a look if you are shopping a place in the area
Being a brand new property, the improvements that have been made since I moved in in October, 2022 have been excellent. Being brand new cottages, there are nuisance items, but Britney and Lou handle these quickly and professionally. I love my large garage, I love my cottage, very spacious, and new. I plan to be here indefinitely because the amenities are great, the neighbors are friendly, and the staff is like family. Join me, and you will see what a great place this is location, wise, distance to the beaches, and to North Myrtle Beach. Check it out, I think you will agree with me . Tommy Almond
I thought that I would check back on this site since it has been a couple of months that we were considering it. I read the review about the pricing trick and saw that it's still happening. We were getting ready to sign and was told that the price given three days before was no good and it would be $100 more. Be careful.

We do consult with other communities to ensure that our pricing is right in line with our competitors weekly. Additionally, on all of our marketing materials, we have listed that "our prices can change without notice". If this happens, we do try to call our interested prospects as soon as possible to let them know about the rent increase. We want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to apply for our cottages with the prices we have given them at the time they tour with us within a reasonable timeframe. If you would like to stop by the Leasing Office and speak with me personally, I would love to talk to you more about what we do offer within our pricing and what features we have to offer our residents. I am in the office Monday - Friday from 9 am until 5 pm if you have availability.
The pricing listed for units are lower than you are charged. Also, make sure anything you are told in the office is in writing. They will tell you anything to make lease and then lie about it later. This has happened to several people. Stay away!!
