Situated on the south shore of Oahu, Waikiki is one of the most iconic destinations in Honolulu. Although Waikiki is widely known as a tourist hotspot, the neighborhood also draws residents seeking a vibrant beachfront lifestyle within close reach of Downtown Honolulu and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, in addition to numerous service workers and tourism industry professionals. Waikiki offers a broad range of apartments and condos available for rent, many of which tout gorgeous views of the ocean or the nearby mountains.
Waikiki boasts beautiful beaches like Kūhiō Beach, Kahanamoku Beach, and Fort DeRussy Beach Park, along with exceptional shopping at International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Center, and Waikiki Shopping Center. The community also enjoys a vast selection of restaurants, bars, and shops primarily clustered on Kalakaua Avenue, the neighborhood’s main commercial thoroughfare.

Property Ratings at Hawaiian King AOAO
Located 2 blocks from the iconic Waikiki Beach and Royal Hawaiian (Pink Hotel) and 1 block from the famous International Market Place, the Hawaiian King is a homey and quiet retreat in the heart of bustling Waikiki. Only 5 stories tall, this small complex is centered around a courtyard complete with a pool, barbeque, palm trees, tiki torches, tables and lounge chairs. Close to multiple bus stops, spectacular restaurants, the beach, and shopping, this building is in the ideal location. The Hawaiian King is the last remaining slice of "Old Waikiki," and its picturesque decorations and design allows renters to experience the comfort of a small apartment complex along with the attractions of living in a beach-side city. Each 1-bedroom apartment has a personal "lanai" (patio), full kitchen, bath, vanity room, closet, and air conditioner for those warm Hawaiian days. Be greeted every morning by David, the building manager, and be wished a good night by Vince, building personnel. Behind 2 secured gates, renters often leave their doors open and chat by the pool, or throw barbeque parties on holidays like Halloween and Saint Patrick's Day. The Hawaiian King has been my home for 5 years, and it is the home to retired couples, families, college students, and returning visitors. Sip on a tropical drink at an ocean-front bar, wander around in nothing but a bikini and sandy feet, then come home to your quaint and relaxing apartment complex: the Hawaiian King.
