Located about five miles west of the University of South Florida, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island, and University Mall, the charming Carrollwood neighborhood is convenient to everything Tampa has to offer, but slightly removed to be a peaceful escape at the end of the day. Property Ratings at Haven at Waters Edge
I moved to the Haven about 3 months ago all the way from the Northeast. My boyfriend and I had to do our apartment search remotely and came to the decision to go with the Haven since it was affordable and looked nice. We packed up all of our stuff and drove all the way to Florida (which is a 16 hour drive) just to be told the day of that our apartment wasn’t ready. This was a HUGE inconvenience since we also had our family with us on this drive and tried to thoroughly plan out our day in advance. I will give the leasing office credit and say that they did compensate us for that then, but it was off to a terrible start. Since then, we have heard multiple shootings in the parking lot. It doesn’t help that the gate is broken and has been broken since we got here, so anyone could get in. Not to mention, when we first pulled up here the neighborhood looked very sketchy. I definitely don’t feel safe here and they always happen in the middle of the night which is the worse thing to wake up to. The parking lot is also not very clean… We see roaches, glass and food on the ground all the time. The inside of our apartment itself is really nice and that is the only reason why this gets 2 stars, we came to all new appliances and a completely redone place. However, we will not be renewing our lease.

My experience with the community staff at The Haven at waters edge has been excellent. The Staff have been friendly and very helpful. Lots of great changes to the community! Renovations to the community 5 .

Haven at Waters Edge has been a great experience thus far! I love my cozy 1 bed 1 bath and my boyfriend and I have really felt at home here!
This complex certainly has its pros and cons. The biggest pro is the location. I can get to pretty much anywhere within 20 minutes. But when I first moved in, I was very skeptical. The neighborhood initially looked a little sketchy. Plus I saw some neighbors that had me ready to bolt. But now that Ive gotten used to the place, its not so bad. My apartment definitely had some issues when I moved in. My dishwasher, bathroom sink, door peephole, living room blinds and cabinet shelf all had to be fixed. Also I had to do some serious spraying because I kept seeing roaches, both dead and alive. Overall I would say this apartment is a solid B-
I love living here is quiet is lit up at night when I come home from work the staff is very nice and when things happen the maintenance crew is very efficient and quick I enjoy living here
Heaven at Waters was my very first home that I've moved into I have lived here for a year now was very happy to be able to renew my lease there's a great place to start a new life
My experience with staff and maintenance has been very pleasant.
Place in general is good. Out dated design and appliances but for first time college moving out is pretty decent. Need rule/policies to be enforced the residents because some tenants don't care and throw all their trash/food in the street and don't pick up after their dogs.
So far I have had an great experience here. During my apartment search I had contacted Ana in the leasing office many times, and each time she was so incredibly nice and helpful. Her and Loretta are always very helpful when I have a question. The apartment was renovated very nicely and I am very comfortable in it. The grounds are kept up very well and the lake is very pretty.

I absolutely love my apartment Im very happy here ! Also my neighbors are all friendly and the maintenance staff I was very pleased with their quick response to my work order. I was even bragging to family and friends.
Carlyle is a nice community. My complaint is with some of the residents dropping garbage on the grounds.

I moved here over a year ago and the management THEN was great. The new management is HORRIBLE. They walk into your apartment whenever they want. Do you have fleas already? Bc you will once you move here. Even if you don’t have a pet like me. They evict FAMILIES for have a pet that “wasn’t on the lease” even tho it was AND it was a service dog. Just don’t waste your time or money
I moved here two months ago and so far I can't complain about anything, the property is clean and the apartments are nice and quite big, balconies are spacious and same for the storage room. The staff is always helpful and nice. Definitely a good area, close to shops and Interstate.
The staff here is great when it comes to repairs in apt. They are friendly and courteous and very helpful, and the apts are really large with big terraces, plus many stores and bus lines for people who don't drive.
It's spacious and inviting love the uniqueness in the way the apartment is laid out. I wish they would fix the jacuzzi and board walk area and pay attention to the lawns more. This place has potential :)
No pool chairs or out door lounge chairs. . Looks like a city dump with old couches an left over stuff in the apt. An they have dish cable that is the worst can't have an other cable company would not have moved there if I knew that
