We pay for amenities we can even use, maintenance takes weeks for work orders and you have to call and show up at the office a bunch of times.

So far so good no complaints just wish it was a little more like a better work out area and a gated dog area and a wash card reloader in each basement instead of having to go to the leasing office

When I became a first time renter here, I kept calling and asking questions about the place. The new girl was very kind and patient with me. It has been great here. I'm happy with my apartment; it's very nice. My only complaint remains the unfixed gate, which has been a problem for years.

So far..so good. If you can ignore the strong smell of weed from down the hallway, my rating would be a five stars. Plus, the $20.00 fees to pay rent.

As for the additional fee that you've mentioned, residents have the preferred option to register their bank accounts to their resident Bilt portals, please note that there is a $10 convenience fee when paying with cashier checks. Entranceway doors were replaced, but the buzzer panel does not work with the new door, also myself and some of the tenants keys do not work making it difficult to get in. Laundry appliances need thorough cleaning.

We work hard to maintain our community for the comfort of all of our residents and are so glad that you noticed the new entry doors that were recently installed! Please submit a work order on the resident portal at your convenience so that we may take a look at your door buzzer, we certainly want to get that in working order for you as quickly as possible. We do walk our common areas on a regular basis, please also let us know which building you are in so that we can take a look at the laundry room appliances that may need some attention. Please stop by the office during business hours to pick up your key. We are open 6 days a week: M-F 9-6, Saturday 10-6. We will look forward to seeing you soon!
So far not bad! It’s quiet, clean, and the staff are amazing. No complaints for now. I’m fairly new, one day from being a week staying here.

I relocated to Michigan, and was in need of an apartment immediately. Harlo apartments came through I was approved and super excited to move in. Only down fall is that my central air needed attention immediately.

So far has been pretty decent accept I’ve been fighting to get my a/c fixed the apartment gets up to 85 to hot to even think of cooking In I’ve put in maintenance request even emergency nothing still has been like this for months

I have been residing in this apartment complex for almost a year now, and I must say that overall, my experience has been good. The apartment itself is nice, and everything works fine, and the staff is quite attentive to the residents' needs. However, the only downside that I have experienced is that the maintenance requests take an awfully long time to be addressed. It takes them over a month, and sometimes more, to fix even the simplest of issues. Also, there is this one thing that nobody seems to be talking about, and that is the gate. The gate has been out of order for years now, and there was only one update regarding its repair that was shared at the beginning of this year. However, even that update did not come to fruition, and the gate remains non-functional. It's quite disappointing because the gate was the main amenity that I had chosen this apartment complex for. I hope more people would care about it so that it could be fixed soon.
Apartment is very spacious, plenty of cabinet space!

The apartments are great, and there's a workout room in the lease building, you have the convenience of stores, doctors office, and restaurants.

I've been here for a couple of months now and I really like the place. The apartment was in nice shape, the one bedroom is quite roomy for the price. The grounds crew does a good job keeping the property free of garbage and debris. I had a few maintenance issues but they were quickly resolved. I'm not sure about the rumors regarding car theft, but I do see a lot of steering wheel locking bars in the parking lot so I picked one up as well. I have not seen any issues with bugs, but I do seem to have a faint stench coming from kitchen drainage pipes. I've tried garbage disposal cleaning products but they don't seem to be working. The only other complaint is that I have to figure out the secret with the shower. I have yet to take one without major temperature changes occurring. I have to have the shower head aimed high so I can duck under the stream when it gets freezing cold or scalding hot. It's been a while since I've lived in apartment so these may just be some of the common occurrences that come with sharing a building with 7 other units. Overall I'm happy with the place and I have yet to experience anything that would stop me from recommending Harlo to others.

management is inattentive and simply do not care about concerns of their residents. it was like pulling teeth trying to speak to someone on the phone for the longest, they would claim "the lines are disconnected"…..but how many times are they going to be "disconnected"?? there's garbage floating around the parking lots and back door. the hallways wreak of smoke & are dirty. you have to beg them to throw salt for ice on the sidewalks and in front of the doors.management is rude & can never get a hold of the office manager. dont even call to put in a noise complaint because your neighbors are disruptive all throughout the night, the only REAL solutions they recommend is to "call 911". they have no intentions on fixing issues that can potentially make their residents uncomfortable. and they DO NOT enforce community noise policies like they claim to do. this has been an ongoing issue forever. not sure why they act like they have zero control of their complex…? spoke to multiple workers throughout the years and of course absolutely no solutions, just attitude. if you want to argue make sure to give them a call, they'll make sure to deliver if nothing else. do better

Conveniently located on Mound Rd Harlo Apartments is safe and quiet. However, due to the non presence of surveillance cameras, a package delivery was stolen from us.

Apartment needed to be cleaned and smelled of smoke. Basement storage area had broken latch and was filled with someone else's stuff. Paint spray on everything. Older appliances. Good sized apartment and everything works alright. Can't hear much from neighbors, although there is occasionally a strong smoke smell. Generally not a bad place to live but it could use some updating.

The maintenance worker was so professional did not talk too much and he got into the job so fast so professional and made it happen and Management changed the stove with a new one which was amazing

Some of the apartments are decent but the two bedroom apartments are not worth what we are paying especially with no dishwasher and the rent is constantly going up.

If you decide to move into this apartment make sure that you are willing to go above and beyond to have maintenance complete yr request. Online is not enough. U have to speak with the office on top of an online request and speak with the manager in person.

Management has been helpful and courteous; they have gone beyond the call of duty. On one occasion Amazon had left everyone's delivery on a given day at the front office. Due to my limitations I could not physically handle the box; the manager brought it to my apartment door. It was greatly appreciated.

I love my new apartment here. My last apartment I was in two years and it was not great for the price I was paying. It was a great decision to move to Harlo, definitely and upgrade.

The location is good and I like my 2 bedrooms and partial walk in closet but if the opportunity presents itself I would move to pay less rent because the apartment home with its old fixtures and quick drywall and paint job is not worth the money they are charging me and I dont even have a dishwasher. Not good.
Overall Ive enjoyed my time at Harlo apartments. I feel the quality of the apartment buildings can be improved however i understand thats a huge task that probably cant be budgeted for. Our basement floods every time it rains or snow melts and snow removal has been inconsistent since winter started (some days snow is immediately removed - other days it takes DAYS for our snow to be removed). The parking lot was recently repaired however theres still a few huge potholes in various parts of the complex. Lastly I feel each apartment should be granted atleast two gate passes- regardless of whos on the lease.
The apartments look amazing outside and in, with a lot of work needed. If pet hair doesn't bother you or peeling tubs and tile floors, then this is the place for you. If you have noisy neighbors that don't quit, the best thing to do sometimes is call corporate, especially if the noise is persistent and you've tried the office many times already.
Maintenance is very good. Office staff very nice and Friendly. Nice pool.
