Sandy Springs combines metropolitan accessibility with natural surroundings just north of Atlanta. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area provides extensive hiking trails and water activities, while City Springs serves as the community's downtown destination with the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center at its heart. Housing options include high-rise apartments in Perimeter Center and traditional homes throughout established neighborhoods like Riverside and North Springs. Current rental rates average $1,475 for one-bedroom apartments to $2,229 for three-bedroom units, with prices showing a slight decrease over the past year.
Heritage Green preserves the natural spring that gave the city its name in 1842. Today, Sandy Springs stands as a significant business hub, home to corporate headquarters including UPS and Mercedes-Benz USA.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Harbor Pointe
Its a shame because some of the staff were very nice. However the amount of bugs, appliance issues, and overall cheapness of the apartments made living here horrible. Even on the top floor, cleaning the apartment everyday as much as possible, we were getting so many cockroaches. Instead of plugging the tons of holes from cheap construction (leading to the trails of bugs), they decided to simply apply bug spray which is horrible considering I had a pet. The buildings are simply falling apart and everyone who lives here moves out within a year or two. Good luck.
Property Manager at Harbor Pointe, Responded To This Review
Hello, we apologize for the negative experience you've had at Harbor Pointe Apartments. We take your concerns seriously and are committed to addressing them promptly. Please contact our office at (470) 928-5012 so we can discuss your specific issues and work towards a resolution. Thank you.
Common theme in HP apt reviews *across* websites is serious cockroach infestation, mold, non-responsive maintenance, a rude & incompetent prop mgr, insufficient parking spaces, and overpriced for poorly maintained apartments. As a resident for far too long, I can attest this is 100% spot on. HP floods review sites with marketing pics to drown out actual tenant pics, so you must search to find what this place is REALLY like.
Property Manager at Harbor Pointe, Responded To This Review
Hello John, we sorry to hear about your frustrations and would like to discuss your situation further so we are able to resolve any and all concerns quickly. Please give me a call at (770) 396-0303 at your earliest convenience, thank you!
Good: Management, Maintenance, Safety, Apt space, No bug problems (personally, but I'm very clean), Excellent service, New appliances, Overall the place stays very well kept. It has been my first independent apartment-living experience and I have been extremely happy! Bad: Most things are dated, Cabinets have tons of coats of paint - hard to clean and sometimes takes extra effort to open because it sticks together, Not great finished but it works, Very limited counter and cabinet space, Fitness center needs new equipment (please). Overall I feel like I have been very well taken care of in these apartments. Service is always extremely helpful, fast, and efficient. For the price, I feel like it is worth it. I have read so many reviews for apartments that have been terrible due to management, but I have never had that problem here. The workers are so friendly and consistent which speaks volumes when so many other places do not have that luxury.
Do not move here. The apartments are old and outdated. And there are so many water bugs and roaches. I see one in my apartment every single day. GROSS! im so glad i only signed a 8 month lease. I cant wait to move.
Don't do it!! DON'T MOVE HERE THEAD ARE THE WORSE AVOID AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. THE PROPERTY MANAGER IS AWFUL RHONDA DOESN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT my stove my bathroom, and dishwasher has been broken since day 1 the maintenance is horrible..AND I HAVE MOLD EVERYWHERE!if I wanted to live in the good I would..RHONDA IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE!!!! AND WOMEN if you want to continue to look at these apartments after my rating watch out for reggie....in the leasing office..he never gets a job done because he's too busy trying to look at you...PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE..MY SON ROOM HAS MOLD IN IT EVERYWHERE..DONT DO IT I have pics I can upload
The maintenance staff is so accomodating. They are professional and truly care about the Harbor Pointe residents. They fixed my heating in such a timely manner. I would stay here just because of them.
Moved to Harbor Pointe apartments in April from my previous apartment down the street. I really like the price and the location at HP. Not too far from work in Alpharetta and the city of Atlanta. Maintenance fixes issues in a very timely matter whenever you put in a request. Neighborhood is quiet and the people are friendly. I like using the two neighborhood pools during the summer. You can take out trash on your way out and check your mail on the way in which is very convenient. I'd definitely recommend this neighborhood to friends.
I've been living at Harbor Pointe for three months now, and I think they are decent. Pros: The apartment itself is laid out nicely, and very spacious for a one bedroom. I'm on the third floor so I have high ceilings and an atrium instead of a patio which is nice. Parking isn't too bad. I'm typically always able to find a spot by my building The pool is very nice and large Located in a secluded area so you're far enough away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, but close enough to the highway to get to downtown. There's a recycling area right outside the complex which is super convenient. The leasing office staff is really friendly and helpful. Cons: It is in the woods, so there are bugs, so you would do well to have pest control spray your house weekly and get your own spray to do it yourself. You'll primarily see big ole roaches and centipedes, with an occasional sighting of spiders. There isn't a linen closet The leasing office doesn't hold packages for you. My old complex, River Vista, would hold packages in the leasing office and/ or drop them off for you in your apartments if you asked, which was nice because I work a lot and wouldn't want a package sitting on my front door until 9pm. Overall, it's a nice place to live.
Apartment is decent for the price. The renovations are done quickly and it shows! There is caulking everywhere and visible repairs needed. Staff is rude and not empathetic at all to the problems they cause. Nice neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Quiet place to live. Overall you could find a better value elsewhere.
I lived in harbor pointes for 7 great year.the stuff was and is great.even during the time the switch the stuff around the new stuff was still great.the apartments are old so yes maintaince work was need most and the guys in that department george and john were awesome.Rhoda and the whole crew in the office trully you guys did your best to make it home for us .I constantly said I wish they had 3bedroom apartment i would still be living there.but i had to move simply because i needed bigger space for my kids. thankyou again guys.
I always get a response with 24 hrs but usually less than 24 hrs on anything issue I have with anything. The staff and maintenance personnel are always willing to work with me on any issue I may have. They always make me feel like I'm important and take care of all needs I have with the apartment. When I renewed my lease, I got a free carpet cleaning and new painted room as requested. Great service and would recommend to anyone who want to feel like your complex personnel will handle any problem to your satisfaction.
One word: Mold. Old cabinets, old appliances, and even older carpet. Will be moving out by the end of the month. We moved in late May. Not worth it.
I went to these apartments today. I was disgusted by the customer service. They were eating, and watching t.v. I felt as if I was of inconvenience asking them for assistance. Not to mention it looked nothing like it did on the web.
Do not take needs of residents seriously. They are rude and inconsiderate and can be very condescending sometimes. The "fitness center" is a joke. The machines are older than I am and look to be from the early 1980's and are rusty. Insects are a problem here and the appliances that were in my apartment were also from the late 1980's. The rent is too expensive for what you get and on top of that you pay for trash and water separately, which always runs high and they charge crazy late fees if you are even one day late.
I moved in Sept. 1, of last year and have been very happy with my one bedroom apartment. When I look out my windows, all I see are trees and it is very peaceful for a retired person like me. The staff is very pleasant and responds immediately to any requests I make. If there is anything I need fixed or cannot do my myself, either George or John are always happy to help me, and do a great job. My neighbors are pleasant and the children are nice and respectful. In closing, I am very happy here and hope to live in my apartment for long time. .
I currently live at Harbor Pointe, the staff is very nice, Rosanna is the best. the maintenence staff does a great job. the apartments are older but well kept, & the grounds are kept clean. For the money not a bad place to stay
