West Des Moines is located in three Iowa counties. Residents of this area enjoy perusing the local shops at Valley Junction, which began in 1893. Today it serves as the city’s business district, flavored by undeniable community tradition. With more than 100 specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants, there’s always something new to discover.
On the other side of West Des Moines, Jordan Creek Town Center occupies a large fashion space that includes a 3.5-acre lake and boardwalk. Many apartments are just minutes from the mall’s stores, movie theater, and lakeside restaurants. The city is located in America’s heartland and has cherished quilting since its existence. Quilt-making goes back to the 18th century in West Des Moines, and many people proudly display their creations at city craft expos.
In addition to quilting, residents of West Des Moines enjoy the local productions at Tallgrass Theatre Company on Vine Street.

The Hamlet is a great place to call home. Maintenance has always been responsive and our apartment is extremely affordable. I love that we were allowed to paint our daughters bedroom and the dining room which makes it feel so homey too!

Thank you so much for your five star review! We're glad our team has been there for you when you need it and that your apartment truly feels like home!
I wanted to check the apartment out to get a tour I sent out 5 emails and called several time and no answer so I had to go to the building to get a tour the man told me the phones are down as the phone starts ringing 2 mines later and he lets the phone keep ringing. if you want the fireplace its only on the third floor and the utilities are not included. the place is very outdated.
The landlord is very nice and helpful. The pool stays open until 8:00 pm. The maintenance people are really good people, they get to what's wrong as fast as they can. Since I have been living here it has been very quiet at night. To be honest I think this is the best place that I have lived. They treat you good here. I wouldn't change where I live at all.
