The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Grove at River Place
My daughter and I have lived here for about two years now, and we love it here. The leasing staff is kind and attentive, and any issue I have had, especially now with the new manager, has been taken care of in the fastest manner in which it can be. It is an older complex, so some issues are to be expected, but the maintenance team handle it quickly and efficiently. The only issue I have, is the gates. We have had some unruly disruptive non-residents jumping the pool gates and getting in, and I feel that if the front gates were fixed this would totally deplete the issue. Other than that, I love the community here and I wouldn't trade it!
Avoid this place. There are break ins, and to many water problems,
Been staying here for a a couple of months. Biggest mistake eve! Huge pest control roaches and mice under sinks! maintenance is horrible, I would not recommend if you don’t want to be living with mice and roaches!
I’ve been here for a year and half, this apartment is deplorable. The bugggsssssss! And the excuse I keep hearing is it’s GA we can spray but that’s it. And it’s not on my own recognizance. I have someone clean weekly so my house is always clean. But yet you will still see them The gate never works. The water gets cut off about once a week. There was a mouse in my apartment I have asked for them to replace my toilets forever because the back of them is filled with mold and are everyyy old they told me no. There is mold in my carpet from a leak they took forever to fix. The windows aren’t properly insulated so it’s either always cold or always hot depending on the weather. Maintenance is a hit or miss. Avoid at all cost!
let’s talk about the black mold huh. yeah that’s it. disgusting
Stayed there for three years first year and a half was ok, except that the gate never worked (when it was fixed it didn’t stop our cars from being broke into) so security was a waste, apartment leaked water inside, mice were all over that complex, trash fee for a trash dumpster that stayed full to the max, with trash on the ground around it, carpet cleaning fee after you move, stuff don’t even know who the residents were.
I love that this a gated community which allows all tenants to feel safe, the environment is clean and well groomed, minimal noise which is to be expected, and I love my apartment because of the coziness being that it's just my daughter and myself. I would definitely recommend the Grove as a place to stay, plus I'm excited for the renovations that are occurring!!
HONEST OPINION! I rated this place 2 stars because it is in a very convenient location and the upgraded apartments look pretty nice. The layout for my apartment was odd but still, I felt safe and I made it work. 6 months into my stay my apartment started leaking and I had air conditioner problems. I am aware when dealing with older apartments things can happens; however, my issues were not completely resolved until I left...actually the leaking was not completely resolved. My BIGGEST COMPLAINT is management. Melissa, was very nice to me and she typically kept in contact with me. However, the rest of the staff was horrible. No one but Melissa seemed to know what they were doing. MISCOMMUNICATION was a big thing. So if you move there GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! If you talk, record your conversations to avoid the “your word against their word” game. Melissa no longer works there so good luck. Even today, I am having issues. I no longer live there but the complex I am trying to live needs rental verification and it has taken The Grove almost 2 WEEKS to send it. I’ve called many times and I rarely get an answer and I just had Hannah (in management) hang up on me when I placed her on a closed hold. I was trying to get the other complex on the line to help us. Hannah clearly stated she didn’t know what else we need so I understand if she was furstrated and felt she did not know what to do, but hanging up with me when I was trying to get us help is not the answer. I called back... no answer. I understand there are different circumstances for different people. But I was not a problem tenant. I paid on time and I left the apartment in very good shape. So good people seemed to have moved in almost instantly after the carpet was cleaned.
These people are the worst I ever saw. For saying here almost 3 years and my lease just about to end in a month, they charged me a total bill of $1500. For staying 3 years there will be some wear and tear for which they charged us heavily. Please think before joining these apartments which offer no great services. My friend asked about these apartments and I would highly not recommend them.

We are so sorry that you felt this way. Please understand that the office staff has nothing to do with the 60 day notice or the lease termination fees. Thank you again

We are truly sorry that you feel this way. Our Property Manager and staff run the apartments as they are taught to do so they are truly fair in making sure that the current tenant that moves in understands that they are responsible of making sure when they move out the apartment is just like it was they moved in. We love our residents and we thank you for your fed back.
I have absolutely loved living here! Location is great! Price is great! Staff is great!

We're so excited that you're happy here! We love making our residents happy!
I loved being close to everything i needed. The girls in the office took good care of me while i was there! if i'm ever back in Macon, Ga, Grove at River Place will be my home again!
I have been in this community for 6yrs and love it especially with the new management company. They are making strides with updating the apts. the maintance is much better and timely once request is placed with them. Summer is awesome she was leading agent when I first signed 6 yrs ago. Also with new management new leasing agent Taylor is very friendly and helpful too.
When I moved out, I was told that all my expenses were paid, and I would be receiving a refund. A few weeks later, I receive an email stating, I have an unpaid balance. When I contacted the office, I was told that they made an error, and didn't realize I was ending my lease early. The only issue I have with that is that I gave my 60 day written notice as required. I don't feel that I should be held responsible for those additional charges if management made representation that all the charges were cleared.
I absolutely love it here! The neighborhood is very safe, my apartment is quiet and peaceful (building 1), and people around here are very nice (everyone always seems to be outside walking their dogs, haha). It really feels like home and has a great sense of community. The location is perfect, too; it's right in between Arkwright and Riverside, so I'm only five minutes away from tons of grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping destinations. The maintenance team is also on point. I've put in a couple of maintenance requests and my issues have always been resolved by the end of the day. The office staff is absolutely wonderful! Summer, Taylor, and Gabrielle are incredibly friendly and helpful. Back when I was moving in, Summer helped me sell my old washer and dryer (my apartment's laundry room had a newer washer and dryer) by posting on the Facebook page and contacting residents she knew were in the market for washers and dryers. The front office also hosts monthly events for the community, like pizza parties and murder mystery dinners. For me, it's important to live at an apartment complex where I can rely on the management to be responsive, and The Grove has really exceeded my expectations in that department. Both the gym and the pool were renovated a couple of months ago, and they look great! The pool has some nice stonework with a pretty little waterfall, and there even a couple of grills by the poolside. There's almost always someone at the pool, especially on the weekends. The front office gives out free popsicles on Saturday (and I've seen signs that they also give out free donuts and coffee when rent is due, but I pay my rent online so I cannot confirm this). The gym is open 24/7, but in my experience, it's hardly ever used. This works in my favor because there's always a treadmill open for me! The gym contains two treadmills and basic equipment for weights. The temperature is kept on the cool side, which I greatly appreciate! The only downside is that you might find this gym to be deficient if you're someone who likes to lift weights. If so, there's a Planet Fitness five minutes away with very reasonable prices and a huge selection of weight machines. Anyhoo, that just about sums it up! It may not be luxury living or anything, but I couldn't be happier with the location, the price, the quality, the amenities, and the people!
Me, my boyfriend, and my three year old just moved here about two months ago and we love it! The complex is super quite and we've yet to hear anything crazy going on. We lived at another complex before moving here and there was always loud parties and people just being very rude. The complex just had the pool redone and my daughter loves it. We go almost every afternoon after work and there's never been a problem. Also we opted to pay a little extra a month for an "upgraded" unit and its perfect. No complaints as of yet!
DO NOT MOVE HERE: We were already planning on moving out because they rent raises each year by a percentage despite no actual improvement. We've lived year a year an a half, and the gate was operational for about a week of that. This big no no that has me so furious is that today, my partner is out of town, a tree fell on his vehicle a couple days ago, but it's still operational, I told the office I can move the car if need be. While at work, they made no attempt to contact me to arrange anything to get the vehicle moved, just my partner (despite knowing he's out of town) Without permission, or putting the car in neutral, they dragged our 4x4 SUV backwards, through one parking spot, and over a curb into another while it was in park. Do not move here because they will drag your stuff. I made effort to contact the office when I was on break (7p) to tell them I could move it after work and they did not even say anything about it having been moved either, and said the location I wanted to move it to would be ok, meaning they either moved it knowing I would be by later to move it, or withheld that they already moved it. Also they roach thing is true. Lots of spiders, lots of the really large roaches. I have NEVER had any place I lived treat a vehicle of ours like that. Is is unacceptable.
I had to be moved from one building to another because of the mice problem. Then when they were trying to determine where to move me the discovered that a number of buildings has sitings on mice in at least one of the units. Finally they moved me to another apartment that supposedly did not have mice, and I soon discovered that was not true. From what I can tell they are not doing anything to remedy this ongoing infestation, because right after I moved from my apartment someone else moved in without it being fumigated or anything. I WOULD NOT MOVE HERE unless you are either not afraid of mice, or have a cat.
