Grand Bend Club Apartments

So much I could say about this place, but none of it is good.

Grand Bend Apartments is an absolute nightmare. From starting construction just two weeks into the lease to leaving the apartment unfinished during winter, this place has no regard for tenant comfort. Maintenance and leasing staff are indifferent to noise and wall issues caused by the construction, while the constant smell of smoke adds to the misery. To make matters worse, the community shared washing machines are disgusting and overpriced. With the entire complex under construction for years to come, any hope of peace and quiet is nonexistent. Avoid this place at all costs.

Building was under construction 20 days after my lease began. Excruciating noise level was constant for 8 months. Exposed nails and fiberglass left after "renovation". If you are in a "renovated" Grand Bend building, especially an end unit, check your apartment for mold. Because of the exposed nails and splinters on the wood where they boarded up a window, we had it covered with a curtain. Upon move out, found black mold creeping up the wooden panel. I called the leasing office to let them know and they do not care. Living room exposed to outside air where door is not sealed. Maintenance staff gave me personal info about a past tenant, saying they had poured grease all over the walls and down the drain before we moved in. My parking neighbor had her gas siphoned out of her car twice. I feel bad for any children that live here because it is unsafe. There is a constant marijuana odor in the buildings and parking lots. Overall, the worst experience I've ever had. Nobody deserves to live in conditions as awful as this.

Marcus was the best!! Definitely recommend asking for his help, he was very nice and so helpful! This is my first place & he made everything so easy and understanding for us, so thankful. Also, my apartment is beautiful i am absolutely in love with being here!!

The process of getting an apartment here has not been easy. The application process is supposed to take 2 business days and it took well over a week for us to hear back..even after calling. We applied at the end of January and it’s now March and we are just now signing a lease to begin mid April. We started looking early to make sure we would have somewhere to go when our current lease is up but had no idea the process would be this long. Hopefully the rest of our experience here will be better. Fingers crossed

This is how they make money on used appliances, that should have been thrown out. Stove that was in my apartment when i moved in looked like something that you would expect to see at goodwill or on the side of the road when its a garbage day. Spoke with the manager twice about replacing it - no response. Moved out, now they are charging me for damages to the stove. If you are looking for problems, loud neighbors, second hand cigarette smoke in your apartment - then this place is for you.

Poor management, constant bed bug infestations, and deleting honest reviews albeit negative.

Good on pricing, however, poorly managed. The management has done nothing except make me pay more money than budgeted. Never have I been so disappointed in property management.

These apartments are very neatly orgnazied ran by very friendly people very well upkept very fair in price and in a very good and safe negiborhood

I found perry place orginaly on apartments. Com i love it the people are nice and friendly it is a very safe negibor hood the grounds keeping people make it very beauifil and clean the apartments are very clean and well kept up there are also very many styles all with fair. Prices and bigger than most one bedroom apartments

My apartment is very spacious for a one bedroom, it came with a shower/bathtub in the bathroom, stove/oven, fridge and dishwasher in the kitchen. The apartment was well maintained and kept very clean upon my move in. My neighbors are all pretty quiet and considerate of other tenants. I also like that they are pet friendly and have unique features such as the 2 pools and fitness center that are kept very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and the fact they have weekend open officer hours is very convenient.

The apartment is nice, location is next to a middle school - lots of kids/families reside here. Exterior of building and carports needs updating/maintenance. Parking lot needs pot holes fixed. Grounds are kept nice, the staff work hard to make sure everything is "picked up". The Grand Bend Club apartments are an more upscale then the affiliated complex next door (more money too). Hallways/stairs - carpeting needs cleaning or replacement, walls are dingy need painting. Called twice for maintenance- very prompt response, needs were met (A ), Exterior door of building does not always close/lock so not always secure. Promised new decks would be built (look for dated/worn) no work on the decks was ever started while I was there. Carpeting was clean but looks like it is dated, could use replacement. Bathroom is small. I live in a 2 bedroom with laundry in the apartment, this was a nice feature. Good closet space. Refrigerator did not have ice maker and was very small. Pool is not heated, looks like it could use updating, but was well maintained. Work out facility - small, but clean. Garbage trucks empty the large green containers next door at 6am, very loud. Overall good value but not top of the line.

I would NEVER recommend this place. They do not take care of their residents or maintenance. Their was a small fire in my apt on May 22 and no one even came to repair the big hole in my floor until JULY 13 and even after that it hasn't been completed. I have contacted the rental office and apartment manager numerous times and it still has not been resolved. Also the fire could have been contained had there been a single fire extinguisher in the building. It was made known to the management that there were no extinguisher in May and they still have not put extinguishers in the common area, which is LAW in this city! I fear my safety staying here and management is doing NOTHING to improve the safety.

I will have lived here for one year this week and I have had no complaints so far. As I write this I am trying to find something negative to say about this apartment and I cannot think of anything. All I can say is that I love it.
